As per usual, Mai was bored. She stood next to Ty Lee as Azula planned some way to prank Zuko. Mai had no care for harming him, nor did she want to carry mud around in her hand until he came by.

However, it was only a matter of moments before the young prince came walking out of the palace, and Azula gave the signal for her and Ty Lee.

Ty Lee performed a cartwheel right in his path, causing Zuko to stumble. He caught himself, though, and smiled at Mai as he continued to walk by. Immediately Mai dropped her handful of mud and blushed.

“Aww, Mai’s gotta crush on ZuZu!” Azula teased as she walked up to the two. Ty Lee burst out into a fit of giggles at this comment, but stopped soon after.

“Wait,” She said, “what’s a crush?”

“It’s when someone likes another person,” The princess explained.

“But I like you. So does that mean I have a crush on you?” Ty Lee asked, ignoring the glares she was receiving from Mai.

And things we’re all too young to know

“No, dum-dum. It’s when someone really likes someone else.” Azula rolled her eyes.

“Oh, so Mai really likes Zuko,”

“Shut-up!” Mai snapped, her face still red.

“I bet she wants to marry him, and be the nest Fire Lady!” Ty Lee and Azula laughed as Mai flashed angry looks at them.
