First DearS fic, be kind y’all! Also, I haven’t read the series in a while-like a year ago, yikes! I do intend to finish this story, as I’ve noticed this section is pretty bare and most fics are abandoned. I have other fics to post here too, if y’all like this one!
All That You Love Will Be Carried Away
by Kaistoaster
It was ruining her life. She frequently had to leave class, unable to stand Ren’s presence. The feelings overwhelmed her, making her lose control. She worried about her actions. Someday she would act. The feelings were less like jealousy than love, but it was a far more obsessive feeling of adoration and hate that swept through her than the fair thing called love would deign to stoop to.
Sweat drops slid down Miu’s back, although she could not recall sweating before It had taken over her.
As she watched the clock tick down to morning, faces appeared in her mind. Some random, Nia, Rubi, Ayu. Others, Takeya’s, made her stomach cramp and clench with a sick feeling. Her throat ached. She hadn’t slept in 3 or 4 days. They all blurred together.
Was this the thing called love? The alarm blared, signaling the beginning of a day she would have to get through, somehow. She slapped the off button on it, and managed to force herself out of bed. A day to get through, then a night to get through. Get through to what? The thought of a lifetime of these indistinguishable days and nights lingered in her mind as she began the tedious job of combing through her floor-length peach hair.
When that was done, she changed out of her night shirt and into her school outfit. Across her pale, creamy white stomach were jagged red characters, spelling out Takeya’s name. She pulled her sweater done and thought no more of it.
Miu had decided to do It. A wave of contention went through her at the thought. It wasn’t wrong, It wasn’t evil. It was all for love. She searched through her dresser drawer until she found it. An iPod. A gift from her host family, it was apparently a necessity for all teenagers. She hadn’t had much use for it. But now it would be her savior. A beautiful, peaceful spread across her pretty face as she walked out the front door and off to school. It was the first time in a long time that she had actually looked forward to the school day.
