This is a very short fic based on a roleplay I enacted with my best friend Anya on msn earlier today
So this is dedicated to her and her Spiritshipping craziness

She knew she was crying.
She could feel the hot sting of tears as they fell from her milky blood-shot eyes.
It couldn’t be true it just couldn’t be...
But she knew it had to be true, her mother wouldn’t lie about something like this.
Her father knew the risks of working as hard as he did with his condition; his heart had been unstable since being pulled into several different dimensions in his youth while pursuing his rival, at least that’s what her mother told her anyway.
Her father had been sooo stubborn when he was told of his condition, saying that he had to keep running the family business and that he wouldn’t let a little thing like a heart condition get in his way.
A fresh river of tears fell from her eyes are she remembered when her father had finally decided to tell her about his condition, she had taken it in her stride back then convinced that her father would take life at a slower rate but she knew in her heart that he wouldn’t. He loved his job sooo much and at times it seemed that he loved his job more than his own family.
“Xandi, you in there?” She ignored her friends question, Alexis would leave soon enough if she didn’t answer she had better things to do with her time then stand outside a dorm door. Besides Alexis wasn’t the one she wanted to talk to right now, no Jim was who she wanted to talk to but alas he was in Australia visiting his family.
Xandi wiped away the tears that threatened to fall; she couldn’t cry forever it wasn’t the way of her family to cry. Her father would be ashamed to see his only daughter act in such a way.
“Oh, Jim, why did you have to be gone at a time like this?” she asked aloud, knowing that she would receive no answer.
Jesse watched as Xandi stumbled into the Slifer common-room, she was tripping and being more of a klutz than usual, she looked distraught. Her beautiful dark milky blue eyes were now blood-shot and puffy, her tanned cheeks were tear-stained and her long dark brown hair was a mess. Xandi was one to keep her appearance at a top notch level whenever possible so to see her like this disturbed the older Obelisk Blue student.
The blunette saw that the distraught girl was gripping an envelope in her slender hand; she must have been holding the letter tight because her knuckles were now white.
“Xandi, are you okay?” he asked concerned, he didn’t like seeing Xandi upset. Jesse watched as she looked around the room only to discover that they were the only ones in the room, she let a few tears fall before throwing herself into his chest crying her heart out.
“Jesse, its terrible” she sobbed, The Northern Transfer student looked down at the blind girl with concerned eyes “He’s been put into intensive care!”
Jesse let out a sad sigh as he wrapped his arms around the younger Obelisk Blue student waist; he knew too well the situation with Xandi’s father. He had been the first one to find out, she had confided in him even before she confided in her own boyfriend. Jesse knew that if anyone walked in now uncomfortable questions would be asked, questions that the older Obelisk would rather not answer.
“Hey, hey, Xandi, Calm down now okay, it’s not the end of the world. You’re dad will be okay” Jesse tried to comfort the crying girl the best he could; he knew this must be hard for her. Xandi’s father might not have always been around but he loved his family and would do anything for them.
The blunette Obelisk looked down at the crying girl, he knew they could stay here for much longer because soon class would finish and the questions would be asked. Jesse sighed again but he quickly picked up the sobbing girl, who let out a small squeak in protest.
“Calm down Xandi, I’m just taking you to lie down okay?”
“Hmm, okay Jesse”
Damn it, I’m not supposed to feel this way about her, about anyone.
I love Jaden not her...
And she loves Jim not me.
I’m not ALLOWED to feel this way about anyone except Jaden and especially not about Xandi!
She one of my best friends and on top of that she’s Jim girlfriend!
Why me?
Why do I feel this way?
Do I?
No I love Jaden!
Not Xandi!
Never Xandi!
At least I think...
Miss Fontaine watched in silence as Jesse sat beside Alexandria’s bedside like he had been for the past few hours. She may not know much about the personal lives of her students but she knew that no-one sat by someone’s bedside for three hours and claim to just be their friend.
And yet she had been sooo sure that Jesse had been going out with Jaden.
And hadn’t Xandi been going out with Jim Cook since before the whole inter-dimensional mess that the school had gotten itself into.
“J-J-Jesse why?”
“I’m sorry Xandi, I couldn’t help myself”
Xandi brushed her fingers over her lips.
Her best friend had just kissed her and she had done nothing but stand there in shock letting him do it!
“I’m sorry Jesse”
She ran, putting everything behind her as she did.
She knew that if Jim ever found out, he would hurt Jesse within an inch of his life.
Tears once again fell from her milky dark blue eyes.
Xandi felt herself land roughly on the ground, still crying she picked herself up and kept running.
The young Obelisk felt two strong arms encircle her waist.
“What ya running for a Sheila?”
“Jim”
“Yea Sheila”
Xandi smiled and closed her eyes as she breathed in his scent
“I love you”
