Disclaimer: I do not own the Jonas Brothers or Miley.
Have you ever felt so completely and insanely invisible that it almost seems like someone could walk right through you and not even notice.
Like someone could see right through you.
And never even know you were there.
Because to them, you weren’t.
You weren’t there at all.
That was exactly what I felt like on my tour days with Miley.
It was the Best of Both Worlds Tour with the invisible side show freak. You could pay your dollar to go and see her, but of course when you opened the door you wouldn’t see anything.
And you wouldn’t be getting your money back.
That was just the way Miley was.
I would sit there and stare at Nick and no one would even notice.
Well at least that was what I thought at the time.
Nick was amazing and I felt like I was the only one who actually saw that.
It wasn’t just that he was hot, but he was interesting and actually had something to say. When he talked I actually wanted to listen to him and never forget anything he had to say.
I could stare into those eyes and listen to him forever.
But I would never get that chance.
So I was staring at Nick in my invisible state of mind when I was shocked out of my silence.
“Lilly?” someone was saying.
It took me a second to regain my self.
“Lilly?” It was Joe and Nick was looking at me weird.
What had just happened?
“Um…yea?” I replied looking around at Joe, Nick, and Miley.
“Are you okay?” Nick asked.
“Yea,” I said, “Why wouldn’t I be?”
What had happened?! I was starting to silently freak out to the highest extreme.
“You were staring of in space there,” Joe said smiling.
O man, I hadn’t been staring off in space, I had been staring at Nick. Geez, now I wished I really was invisible. I could crawl in a hole and die for all I cared.
“Yea, sorry,” I said trying to pull myself together, “I just kind of spaced out.”
Nick laughed and I could have killed to know what he was thinking. I didn’t want him thinking I was some insane psycho path that stalked him in the night.
“Well we wanted to know if you wanted to go bowling with us,” Nick said.
“But you went all crazy and didn’t answer for like an hour,” Miley added.
Yea, I can go crazy. Go crazy and rip your pretty little head off you pretty little freakin body.
I laughed and even to me it sounded fake.
“So do you?” Joe asked.
“Yea, of course,” I replied before I even thought about it.
I really didn’t want to go, but I had to keep my eye on Miley and Nick.
Maybe possibly I might have fun.
But I knew that was highly unlikely.
It started to suck from the car ride over there.
And it just went down hill from there.
The entire way there Miley was all over Nick and it made me want to stick my head out the window and throw up my lunch.
“But your hair is so awesome,” Miley was saying running her fingers through it, “I can’t believe you barely have to do anything to it.”
“Well, it’s true,” Nick replied smiling at the devil. But of course, he didn’t know it was the devil, so I couldn’t hold it against him.
“I think Lilly’s hair is pretty awesome,” Joe said and I almost jumped out the window in shock.
Miley looked at Joe and I in anger.
“Um, thanks,” was all I could say in my shocked state of mind.
“Don’t you think Nick?” Joe asked.
I could have hugged him. I smiled instead.
“It’s like perfect,” Joe added and started running his fingers through my hair, “And I don’t think she tries to make it look that way either. Not like Miley does.”
I was speechless. All I could do was smile. I glanced over and Nick and noticed him staring at me. He then quickly glanced out the window.
The entire car was quite the rest of the way.
We got out of the car and Miley and Nick walked hand in hand into the bowling alley. I started to follow, but Joe pulled me back.
“I hope I didn’t give you the wrong idea,” Joe said.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Well, I know you like my brother,” Joe said, “And Miley was annoying me so she must have been driving you up the wall.”
I nodded.
“So, I thought I would help you out,” Joe explained, “I just didn’t want to give you the wrong idea.”
“You didn’t,” I assured him, “And thanks.”
“No problem,” Joe said and put his arm around me, “Now let’s go have some fun.”
I smiled as we walked into the bowling alley.
This was going to be interesting.
Nick and Miley were laughing when Joe and I walked in.
I noticed Nick’s smile fade as he saw us. I just pretended like nothing happened and maybe nothing did. Maybe Nick was just mad Joe and I ruined their moment.
Who knows?
Everything was going fine until Miley decided she needed to talk to me alone.
We walked to the bathroom and I had no idea what was coming.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Miley asked as soon as the door was closed.
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“The you trying to make Nick jealous thing,” Miley replied.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” I lied.
“Well let me tell you a little something,” Miley said getting into my face, “You are completely idiotic if you think for one second that Nick would ever even consider liking someone like you. The only reason I even let you come on this tour was so Nick could look at you every day and know that there is no other girl better than me.”
I just stood there dumbfounded.
Miley walked out and I couldn’t move. I knew Miley was horrible, but I never knew she was capable of something like that.
I pulled myself and together and walked out of the bathroom. I could not believe this.
“Well, it’s about time you showed up,” Joe said when he saw me, “Its your turn.”
“O sorry,” I said, “But I think I’m going to leave.”
“What? Are you sure?” Nick asked.
“Yea,” I replied, “I’m not feeling very well.”
“Do you want someone to come with you?” Joe asked.
“No,” I said, “I’ll be fine. I’ll call Kevin or something to come get me.”
“Oh, don’t be dumb, I’ll take you,“ Joe said standing. I knew there would be no convincing him to stay.
“Ok, spill,” Joe said when we got in the car.
“Spill what?” I asked not really thinking.
“What did Miley say to you to make you suddenly ‘sick’?”
“Nothing,” I replied.
“Come on, Lilly,” Joe said.
“She said the only reason she brought me on tour with her was so Nick could look at me and know that there is no one better than Miley. I guess compared to her, I am the worst person in there world and she wanted to make sure Nick knew that.”
“Ouch,” Joe said, “You don’t believe that do you?”
“Can we just go please?” I asked.
Joe looked at me for a moment longer and then finally we left.
I had never been so happy to leave Nick and Miley alone.
