Three wishes To Happiness

It was a snowy and glum night in Tokyo,Japan as a young girl by the name of Mai sat in the window of her orphanage. Mai is 10

yrs. Old and was abandoned at the age of 2 months. When ever the holidays came every child in the orphanage’s parents would come

and pick them up to spend the holidays with family. Of course Mai had no parent to come pick her up. She thought that she

absolutely positively hate the person that did this to her. Mai was always and I really mean all ways upset at this time of year. She

wouldn’t let people talk to her and when people offered to come to their family’s house she declined. This was the absolute worst time

of year for her. Mai thought this was her fate forever.

Was it fate that brought this despair to her? Does fate control the whole world? From the author’s point of view me it seems like fate

god. But fate isn’t god no it is not and that is why in this story Mai learns that fate controls no ones life. She will learn that fate does not

control her life and that miracles are real and she can have one, because it takes a miracle to beat the odds right?

Mai sat in her bed reading the same story she read every year Why Cows don’t celebrate Christmas. Whenever she read she felt sad

for cows even though they couldn’t celebrate Christmas anyway she still felt sad. Once she was finished she sat there and thought

about all the good things that could be happening to her friends from the orphanage. She began to cry at this thought and so she slept

in early that night.

As Mai was sleeping a freakishly bright light began to kindle near her bed it seemed to be some sort of spirit but then it became

solid human like, and it took the shape of a boy of the age of 10 the same as Mai. He yawned then said “I’m hungry.” immediately

after that remark Mai woke up and screamed. “shh” said the boy putting his fingers to the girls lips. “ we don’t want anyone to find me

do we” He said with a smile. “ who, who are you?” stumbled Mai in a shy kind of way. “I’m Syoran and I was sent down from the

heavens to make your holidays happy!” Syoran laughed. “so you mean you’re here to make me happy?” Mai asked. “T o be more

precise I’m giving you three wishes, but I disappear when the holidays end. That would be January 21 my birthday.” Said Syoran. “ so

you mean this is all a miracle sent down from god?” asked Mai. Syoran smiled and said “Yes”. Then Mai fainted.

In Mai’s state of sleep she dreamed of what she would wish for she didn’t know what. Oh how she hoped she would think of

some soon. Maybe she was in a dream just a dream to make her happy that’s what she thought. Mai woke up to find her self in the

lap of someone she thought this was still part of her dream so she reached up to touch the persons face. “You know you’re not in a

dream. Just wondering why are you touching my face?” said Syoran. Mai suddenly became alert and got up. So it wasn’t a dream this

Syoran kid was really real. “So I’m guessing that you can read my thoughts or else you wouldn’t know I thought you were a dream.”

She said. “Yeah sorry for intruding in your thoughts nothing personal just wondering.” Said Syoran. There was a long awkward pause

then Mai spoke “Umm Syoran where do you plan on staying?” “Well here in your room of course.” He said with a laugh. “ Wait I’m

sharing a room with you? That’s absurd when Mrs. Carol finds she’ll” Mai was cut off by the opening of the door. Mai are you asleep

yet? Oh my stars! Why is there a boy in your room! This is a girl only orphanage so get him out!” she screamed. “well it seems you’ll

have to accept me so I’ll have to make you forget what you saw and embrace it.” Syoran said. Syoran put his left hand to his forehead

and his right toward Mrs. Carol. He said very odd words I cannot repeat.

“What did you do to her?” Mai asked Syoran sternly. “Well first I made her forget she knew I was here then made her think I was

her son.” Said Syoran. “ Oh son you are having fun with Mai? Go ahead have some fun maybe you two can go to the amusement park

tomorrow or something.” Mrs. Carol said walking out the room. “ I made her say that too” laughed Syoran. WHAP! Mai aimed a

slap right at Syoran’s face. “ So you think you can have your way with me because your demi-god with your powers?” Mai screamed.

“Ow! Gosh I just didn’t want to get in trouble sorry.” Syoran said rubbing his face.

Mai began to think about the fact of sharing a room with Syoran. How could this happen to her she would have to live with a guy

other than her father. “ If your upset about me living here I could live in the basement.” Syoran said. So he got up grunted and left the

room. Mai hoped she didn’t offend him so maybe she should check on him before bed time. About an hour later Mai got her flashlight

and went downstairs he wasn’t there that was odd he said he would sleep down here Mai thought. Mai went back to her room and

saw Syoran in her bed. Mai got angry red and screamed “Get out of my bed!” Syoran woke up and saw Mai’s face. He saw he was

lying in her bed and then began to get out but then too slow. WHAP!

When Syoran woke up there was a arm slung over his side then he ignored it. Then he noticed there was something soft under him

he woke up alert and ready to blow something up. He turned to his side and to his surprise he saw a beautiful sleeping Mai. Syoran

jumped out the bed carefully making sure not to wake up Mai. But then she grabbed is arm pulling him back. He slowly moved her

hands off his arms. He was free. He couldn’t help but see that her cover had fallen off due to all the movement. So he took the cover

and slowly tried to put it back on Mai. Then when he was almost done she woke up. Syoran was in a Position where it looked like he

had taken off the cover. Mai turned red then WHAP!

In the afternoon Mai got on her coat and put on her shoes. Syoran sat on a chair stared at Mai and yawned. “You’re so impatient

Syoran.” Mai said. Mai and Syoran looked at each other in tension.

Syoran had made Mrs. Carol the boss of the orphanage that he was her son that they should go to the amusement park. Mai of

course detest Syoran and didn’t want to go but Mrs. Carol insisted. Mai and Syoran left the orphanage to go to the amusement park

they left in an awkward mood. “Syoran how are we supposed to ride the rides if its winter?” Mai asked. “Its inside you blockhead.”

Syoran said. Mai hit Syoran on the head with a karate chop which sent a quiver down his spine. “Ah! That felt weird.” Syoran said.

“Then don’t talk to me like that.” Mai turned her head in anger. “You are sooo lucky I’m treating you.” Syoran mumbled. When

Syoran and Mai arrived they bought two tickets. “Two for one for the young couple.” The teller said. “We are not a couple.” Mai and

Syoran said awkwardly. “Sure seem like one” Mumbled the teller as Mai and Syoran walked away to the large door. “This place is

huge from the outside.” Mai said in awe. She couldn’t believe her eyes how beautiful it was. “Lets go in!” Syoran said as he grabbed

Mai’s hand and ran in.
