Title: Cancel All Weekend Plans
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: None
Summary: Abby has a few days off. Or so she thinks…
Author's Note: Just a little silly scene I wrote during my breaks at work. Not the best thing I've ever written, but it's as finished as it's going to get.

"This one's for Abby!"

Matt is showing off again. He and the rest of Zombie Ghoul – who, by the way, are gonna be the biggest metal band ever once they get signed – have totally rocked tonight. What better way to spend your night off than to go and watch old friends play at your favourite club?

That said, Matt has made it perfectly clear that tonight he has plans, and those plans include me, at his place, very drunk and very naked. I don't especially mind – the guy is hot – but he's too cute and babyfaced to get away with the arrogant act.

I could use a little fun, though… Wait.

Something niggles at the edge of my senses, and I don't need to look around to know that all my plans for this weekend have just been cancelled. I dunno if it's the unapologetic invasion of my personal space or the faint, unmistakeable scent of him burned into my memory, but when I feel someone's shoulder brush briefly against me, I know immediately that it's Gibbs.

Why is he here? I pull my phone out of my bag and glance down at the display. Five missed calls. Oops. That would be why he's here.

On stage, in the middle of a guitar solo, Matt winks at me. I smile sweetly at him, sign I'm not gonna sleep with you, and then turn toward the bar as if to order another drink, bumping into him accidentally-on-purpose.

"Gibbs!" I don't have to feign my exuberance as I fling my arms around his neck.

He returns the embrace with no trace of the awkwardness he used to show when I first started hugging him. Work? I sign to him as I draw back.

He nods, and I sigh good-naturedly. Most people who find out they have to work when they have a four-day-weekend booked would be pissed off. Me? I love my job. I get to hang out with my best friends all night. Okay, so there's a distinct lack of liquor in the lab, but…

You teach all your friends to sign? Gibbs asks me through gestures, not bothering to shout over the awesomeness of Zombie Ghoul.

Only the basics. 'Mine's a Caf-Pow!', 'How are you?', 'See you later', 'I'm not gonna sleep with you'…

I am gonna sleep with you? Gibbs chips in, raising an amused eyebrow at me.

A tingle of desire surfaces at the mental images that brings. "Really?" I answer aloud, knowing he won't hear me but can read my lips, throwing in my trademark lascivious grin and a raised eyebrow of my own.

He chuckles, and I feel a glow of pride at making him laugh even as I push away the pang of longing his signing has evoked. How much have you had to drink tonight, Abbs?

I guess I am a little tipsy. Gimme four Caf-Pow!s and I'll be sober in no time.

Gibbs places a warm hand on my back, beginning to steer me towards the door. I let him, waving goodbye to friends along the way and wondering why I don't just tell him I'm too drunk to work and stay here to enjoy my night off.

One thing I know for sure – the memory of Gibbs signing that he plans to sleep with me is going to stay with me for a long time to come.
