Summary: When the twin suns rise, the Order will fall.

This is an AU fanfiction taking place 10 years after the events in Phantom Menace. The prophesy of 'The One Who will Bring Balance to the Force' has been greatly misinterpreted... and this grave oversight generates deadly consquences for Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme and the galaxy at large. Features some original characters, but if any of them get anywhere near Mary-Sue territory you are allowed to flame me. Hell, you're allowed to throw eggs at my house. Without giving too much away, I'll hint that I play with the Skywalker family tree, but not in any way that is going to mess with Anakin/Padme giving birth to Luke and Leia. Don't worry.

Author's note: A special notice to any uber!geeks out there. I have not touched or read any of the Expanded Universe stuff, and all I've really been exposed to are the Star Wars movies and the KotOR games. However, I can play a pretty mean game of SW trivial pursuit, as long as it's film canon. So, this fic is essentially an AU take on episode II and eventually III (God willing I make it that far) with no major canon borrowed from outside the films. So be forgiving if everything doesn't match all the way back to KotOR days, or all the way forward into the EU-verse. I try to keep everything consistent with the original trilogy, without too much retconning. I'm just having fun here. Furthermore, I'm focusing primarily on characters and plot, so if I don't have all of the nitpicky details (like what material the Queen's cruiser was constructed out of, or the exact measurments of Obi-Wan underwear), please just forgive me.
