A.N. Yes I know that I just started a Tsubasa fic and should be working on it, but the plot bunnies won’t leave me alone on this idea and I figure that I should work on it before they get mad at me and leave.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Devil May Cry, or any of it’s characters, I only own myself.

Warning, I’ve only played the second DMC game and have only seen 8 of the anime episodes, so I’m sorry if I get a little OOC, but I’ll try to keep them in line. Also my character will probably be a little Mary-Sueish, so I’m sorry if that bothers you, but if you think about it there is at least one Mary Sue in any anime or manga or story for that matter. Sorry if I’ve offended anyone!

The lock clicked open as a tired figure slumped into the house, dragging a large and seemingly heavy object behind them. With a low groan the figure fell into a chair and turned on the lights of their apartment with a clap of their hands. Silvery blue eyes blinked as they tried to adjust to the brightness. Slender hands reached up and tugged silvery-blonde hair from its ponytail. Falling it curtained a tired face. Sierra stretched like a cat and groaned at the slight pain the movement caused, her Sensei had not been kind to her. Sure she was one of the top students in her class, but that doesn’t mean that he needed to kick the living shit out of her to teach endurance and pain tolerance. She winced as she tried in vain to rub her back into a painless state. A shower, she decided was defiantly in order.

1 hour and a tub of water later Sierra emerged, sore but not as stiff as she had been originally. She turned to her chair and saw that she had forgotten her package on the floor. With a small sigh she walked over to it and pulled it from it’s bindings. A large black sheath came into view as the wrappings fell. A silver picture of a dragon wrapped itself around the scabbard. The hilt was silver as well, the handle was dragons horns attached to the head eating the blade, it’s eyes were rubies. Horns that came out from the side of it’s head were the wielders hand guards. The dragon seemed stared at Sierra, daring her to release it from it’s sheath. She shivered, uncomfortable with the stone cold stare. With some slight hesitation, Sierra drew the blade from it’s sheath and stared in awe. The blade was as large as the scabbard, so wide that if even if she spread her hand wide, Sierra wouldn’t be able to see it.

With a small grunt of effort, Sierra lifted the blade to eye level. It was a family heirloom, passed down from generation to generation, the finest sword of it’s time, and still is, Sierra decided, smiling slightly as the dragons expression some how turned smug, though the features never moved. Thunder cracked suddenly, causing Sierra to jump slightly, cutting herself in the process. Lightening streaked across the sky, lighting her bedroom. Sierra closed her eyes in an attempt the shield them from the light, in doing so she never noticed the dark shape creep into her room. When she saw her cut Sierra cursed and thrust the blade back into the sheath and attached it to her back. Walking to her bathroom she grabbed a band-aid and wrapped it around her finger, still cursing softly.

Movement caught her eye and she looked up to see what looked like a piece of the shadows with red eyes and fangs, stalking towards her. Sierra whipped around and stared open mouthed at the approaching demon. The demon stopped and tensed and leaped, it’s snapping jaws aimed at Sierras throat.

A.N. Hehehe, cliff hanger! Not a huge one, but pretty good one none the less. Any whoodles, reviews and flames are most definitely welcome! 3 TTYL! ;)
