full summery:

Jade Ackerman never thought she'd fall in love, until she met Roger. Sure, he was a little strange, and he claimed to be undead, but she forgot all about that when she looked into his eyes. There was only one thing standing in her way: her abusive father. Not to mention the fact the a pyschic predicted that their relationship would end fatally.

When Roger Davis saw Jade for the first time it was love at first bite-er-sight. And he only fell harder in love the more he got to know her. Roger swore he was willing to do anything to protect Jade from any harm-especially her father. But with the NVM wanting Jade dead, would Roger be able to keep his promise?

In this romance of forbidden love, will true love really prevail, or are Jade and Roger two star-crossed lovers doomed for heartbreak?

Chapter 1 - Homework

"Okay, so if I wear the red tank top with the red ballet flats, with a red headband and red earrings, it won't look too matchy? Or flashy even? " I said worriedly into the phone.

"No Jade. Bold colors are in this season. Do it as long as you can. Its fun. You need some of that in your life." I was speaking on my cell phone, with my best friend Britney. We were planning our outfits for our field trip. Now our only problem was convincing my dad to let me go.

"Okay, fine, fine." I said into the phone, defeated. "I'll be ready tomorrow; I just have to get my permission slip signed."

"Yeah, good luck with that."

"You don't think he'll let me go?"

"If I didn't think they'd let you go, would I be wasting my time helping you with your outfit?" Britney said, trying to sound encouraging but failing miserably. "Don't worry; I've got your back if you can't go I won't go either."

I sighed.

"Hey I heard that!" Britney screeched sounding offended. "Are you doubting me?"

"No, no. I just-"There was a knock on my bedroom door. "I gotta go." I whispered into the phone, and then pressed then END button on my T-mobile Razor. I quickly tossed the phone on top of her dresser, and covered it up with an old sweatshirt.

"Yes?" I said, trying to sound calm.

"What are you doing?" Came the voice of my father at the door.

"Homework." By the time my dad opened the door I was sitting at my desk with my math textbook open and I'd managed to scribble a math problem on a piece of notebook paper. My dad came in and stood behind me, looking over my shoulder.

"You know you're supposed to have your homework done by 4:30. Its 4:35."

"Its only five minutes past." I said.

"And you still only have one problem done!" He yelled. He was angry now and his nostrils were flaring.

"I'm sorry dad. I'll get the rest done right away."

I thought he was going to lecture me, or hit me, but he just turned around and walked out of the room. He closed the door behind him.

Jeez, he's acting weird today. He actually knocked AND he closed the door behind him. He didn't even hit me. Well, I better get this done.

And I turned around to finish my homework.

gets better i promise! plz read next chappie!
