Author's Note: Sorry It's taking me extra long to write this. Incidentally, I fell in love with Penguin. But I still love Joker. So here's Chapter's Two.
Chapter Two
"I can't believe her. She just jumped out of the car. I mean what weird person does that?" Bruce asked. He was sitting in the Bat-cave in in front of his computer
monitors. Alfred was standing beside him. "Might I suggest you use this opportunity to put on your evening wear and go looking for her", Alfred replied. Bruce hadn't
even given his Batman costume a thought. Nobody besides Alfred knew his identity. "I'll be back around eleven", Bruce replied. "Shall I get the bandages ready?",
Alfred asked. But Bruce didn't hear him. He suited up and got into the Bat-mobile. A night on the town would be good for both sides.
"Now, where were we?" Joker asked. "I believe you hand cuffed us together", I replied warily. He did. The clown hand cuffed us together. A practical joke. Ha ha ha.
"Oh yes that's right, I hand cuffed us together", Joker replied, "If we had an audience, they'd think I was out of my mind. What do you think?". What do I think?
Personal he is out of his mind but strangely enough, this actually quite fun. Not the hand cuffed part, the metal hurts my wrists. Yes, they are metal, not plastic. "What
did you with the key?" I asked. "She wants to know what I did with the key? I hid it in a church. On of the Justice of the Peace's has it", He replied smiling. If he asked
me to marry him, I'd of said yes but I think he had planned all of this out, so I'm going along with it. I'm trying to not sound judge mental about any of this. After the
gas escaped and he and I kissed, I heard a tiny click and I tried to get away but he pulled me towards him and I could feel his warm breath and his body. My brain
part of me realized that I was Gotham's only hope (other than Batman) of surviving Joker's laughing gas. It would take exactly seventy two hours for the gas to
spread all over Gotham. I'm not really that good a math so don't ask me how to explain it.
"I've looked everywhere", Batman replied to himself. He had checked basically everywhere. He then saw that a giant spray can was sitting atop on of the buildings.
he then saw another and another. Each strapped with rope. They blended in so neatly, anyone would think they were shaving cream cans. Batman pulled over, he
locked the Bat-mobile and started up the fire escape of one of the buildings. As he approached the first spray can, he noticed there was a giant white and red faced
grin. There was also a timed bomb attached. The cans were set to go at exactly midnight. The slightest movement of the bomb could set them off but Batman needed
work fast.
Joker and I left the theater hand cuffed. That's when he took out a gun. People screamed and ran in each direction. Nobody even noticed me but I didn't mind. In fact
I couldn't have been more joyous. I say this because he painted my face white and around my lips he painted red. So even though I wasn't smiling, I was. He was
grinning now, as though saying: "This is were the chaos starts". More people screamed as we crossed the street, I screamed too but only because cars almost hit us
and everyone kept putting on their breaks at the last minute. Then there was these tough looking guys who came up to us. I clutched Joker's arm. One of them tried
to grab me but Joker pulled the trigger. The guy was dead. He killed two more just to make his point. The others ran off screaming like little girls. With this much fiasco,
I was sure the police would be here by now.
That's when the beeping started. Batman had cut a wrong wire. The spray cans all pushed down and the gas was released into the air. Batman covered his mouth
with his hand but it wasn't working. He slipped out a needle and put it into his arm. The shot would make him sleep instead of laugh to death. That's where we found
him a good twenty minutes later. The other cans were starting to go off as well. Joker had his hand over my mouth and nose so I wouldn't in hail the gas. That's when
the police showed up. Too late.
