Prologue-

Hello, and welcome to the Great War Memorial Site. I will be your guide. This place was known as City 17, restored to its former state in 26 A.B.M (After Black Mesa). It was named City 17 by continent, although during the Combine Occupation, Continents were known as "Sectors" City 17 is located in Sector 2, Known today as Asia. In 20 A.B.M, The last Adviser on Earth was destroyed by Gordon Freeman.

The decision to make this a memorial site was made 2 years after the destruction of the Citadel, the remains of which can be seen from anywhere in the city. Through use of salvaged combine technology, they recreated City 17 in the condition it was shortly before Gordon Freeman entered City 17. There were many people that contributed to the overthrowing of the Combine’s grip on Earth, but the most famous of these people were Gordon and Alyx Freeman, although during the Combine occupation, Alyx had the surname “Vance”. They married May 22, 27 A.B.M, just after the restoration of City 17. After 20 years of Matrimony, they had a child By the name of Isaac Freeman. He and a team of Vortigaunts and humans go across the galaxy in the Class-6 Space Cruiser known as the StarBreakerto free planets from Combine rule. The Galactic Council plan to lead an assaults on the Combine Overworld if they can enlist the aid of enough planets.

Now that some of back-story has been explained, I will now talk about the attractions in City 17. You can take a simulation of Gordon Freeman's journey through City 17, or you could take a simulation of Alyx's involvement during the uprising. You can also play in the "Manhack Arena" Where you can command a Manhack and fight against other players. There is also a 30 minute video on the Combine surgery! Viewer discretion advised. There is also the Combine museum, where you can try on a Combine Elite helmet, observe various Combine Weaponry and vehicles in use, and observe the live Hunter we have in capacity! There is also the Gordon Freeman Memorial, which holds his Mark IV HEV suit, an owners manual for the HEV suit, a model of Dr. Kleiners pet Headcrab, Lamaar, which was sadly launched into space. We also have the actual crowbar used by Gordon Freeman himself! There is also a small section on the creature known as the G-man...
