On The Inside
I hated you in life
Now you’re gone
And I still do
Though it’s probably disrespectful
You killed me
Shattered me
My already fragile heart
Was splintered by you
I gave you everything
But you wanted more
You always do
That’s why you’re dead, after all
When you got tired
Of my weak excuses
You discarded me
For her
Now, I put on a sad
Face for the world
But on the inside
I’m laughing
‘That’s what you get
For being greedy
Now you’re dead
Serves you right’
At the funeral
All I see
Is tearstained faces
And dark clothes
I never knew you
Were so liked
You, the breaker
Of girls’ hearts
‘Are you alright?’
That’s what people
Keep asking me
‘Do I look alright?’ I reply
On the outside
I cry softly
On the inside
I laugh at the irony
