Hi everyone! Some of you may recognize the title of this fanfic. That's because this is also the title of my old fanfic which I deleted because it wasn't going the way I planned it. Ehehehehe… I was the former twinkle-chan by the way. So… Welcome to my new and revised fanfic. Hopefully, I don't discontinue it again…

This fanfic is written in 1st person because I personally find it easier to write. To find out who's speaking, read the title of each title and look at whose POV it is there.

(((( Chapter 1: Maia's POV – New Friends ))))

RRRIIINNGGGG!

Oh, there goes the bell signifying the end of the day. Yay! I really look forward to this everyday. After all, there isn't much I do at school except study and draw stuff at the back of my notebooks. I tear off those pages though. I have to keep my notebooks neat and tidy because our teachers check them regularly…

Anyway, I'm heading home now.

I went down the stairs, counting each step I took. What? It's amusing.

1, 2, 3, 4 … 14. Nice number— ow! I fell down the stairs and hit the ground sooner than you could say "rainbow ponies".

After my fall, someone (who was running) accidentally bumped into me (I was about to stand up). Oh great… And then, I just remembered something really important— my books! Now they're scattered on the ground! Sigh… I guess I'm gonna have fix it myself. No one ever helps me…

"I'm really sorry about that. Here, let me help you," a guy with spiky green hair told me and started picking up my books.

Someone's seriously helping me? Let me rephrase that. Someone who I don't know is seriously helping me? He seems really nice. I smiled a bit.

I picked my other books to help him help me. Er… Anyway, I said, "Thank you."

Apparently, there was a blue-haired girl beside him who I failed to notice before. She whacked him on the head, saying, "Did you forget the rule about running the in the hallway? Ueki, losing your talent to study doesn't give you an excuse to disobey the school rules!"

So his name's Ueki, huh? Wait… losing… a talent? Don't tell me he's–

"My name's Ai Mori. I'm really sorry about Ueki here. He's just really careless sometimes," the girl named Mori told me.

"Yeah, sorry. I was just rushing to help you out. I guess I run a little too fast. Sorry," Ueki apologized.

"No, that's alright. It was nice of you to want to help me," I replied.

"My name's Kosuke Ueki. I'm 13 years old and in Class 1-C of Hinokuni Junior High–"he started.

"Okay!" Mori whacked him on the head again. "She gets the point!"

Er... Yeah… Those two sure are good friends…

"I'm Maia Aoi. It's nice to meet you. I'm a year ahead of you by the way," I told them.

"That makes you our sempai!" Ueki said.

"Duh!" Mori yelled at him.

-insert anime sweat drop- Ehehehehehe…

"Hey Aoi-sempai! Let's be friends!" he exclaimed/ suggested to me.

He's… Kinda hyper… Different from me… -insert another anime sweat drop-

"Uh, sure. If that's gonna be how it is, then you can just call me Maia," I replied.

"Okay, Maia-sempai," Ueki said.

"Without the sempai," I told him.

I found this first chapter kind short. Well, I'll try to make it longer.

"Hi, my name's Kosuke Ueki. I'm a power user!

We're going to the park today to do some cleaning, but what's this? Maia seems to know about the Battle Game! Is she a God Candidate? Find out next time. See ya!"
