Chapter 11- Same Shit, Different Day

Chapter 11- Same Shit, Different Day

It had been almost a month and a lot has happened. We had convinced Nick and Joe to come back to school with us for high school. And Kevin said he would find a part-time job nearby. Joe and Hill were currently dating, along with Kevin and Jackie, and Nick and Millie. I was alone but I had come to enjoy myself. Joe and I had become extremely close. He was my best guy friend.

Dear Mom,

It has been an amazing summer. But I can’t wait to go back home. Kevin, Joe and Nick are coming too. Joe and Nick are going to my high school. I’m beyond excited!

Touring was wonderful. I got to meet lots of great people. The fans are so friendly. I wish you could be here. It’s amazing.

I looked over in Joe’s direction. He was sleeping. I giggled to myself. He stirred but didn’t wake. I smiled and continued writing.

The boys are sleeping. They had a big concert last nigh. Today is their day off so they get to sleep. They were all happy about it yesterday…I don’t know what they would be like today since they are sleeping. Anyway.

Love Forever,

Mimi

I slipped the paper into my book and tip-toed over the girls. They were all sitting on the couch talking. I sat down and listened to what they were saying.

“Oh, did you hear about Nate?” Millie asked.

“No, what about him?” Hill asked completely interested.

“Well…” she started talking but I got bored. I walked back to the bunks.

I saw Joe. He looked so cute when he was asleep. I sighed. I was so not over him.

I sat on the floor next to his bunk. I leaned my head against his mattress and slowly drifted to sleep.

I was rudely awoken by Joe kicking me in the head. I guessed he had swung his feet off his bed or something.

“Ouch!” I yelled. Joe’s eyes widen in shock.

“Oh my god!” he yelled. “I’m so sorry!” he kneeled down next to me and rubbed my head.

I giggled. “It’s okay…I guess.” He leaned toward me and kissed my head where he had kicked me. My heart skipped a beat.

“Better?” he asked.

Much better. “Yeah.”

“Cool. So, what are we doing today?” he asked.

“Well the girls are talking and I thought that you would be sleeping.” I replied.

“So there is nothing on the agenda?”

“I guess not…” I shrugged.

“Let’s do something!” he whinned.

“Well, what do you want to do?” I asked. He did his signature Joe Jonas smile that took my breath away.

We ended up stopping the bus and walking through a town. We didn’t know where we were which made it that much more fun. Joe and I ran away from the group.

“Come on!” Joe yelled at me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into a store somewhere downtown. We walked in and everyone stared at us.

“Look everyone! It’s Joe Jonas!” someone yelled. I clutched Joe’s hand and pulled him into the back bathroom. We ran in and slammed the door. We leaned against it will all our weight.

Joe and I exchanged looks and started to brake out in laughter.

“Oh my god…” I said gasping for air. Joe was on the ground holding his stomach.

After our little fit, we started planning our escape. We spotted a small window above the toilet. Joe looked at me with a disappointed glance.

I stood on the toilet seat and tried to open the window.

“It’s jammed shut.” I said looking at Joe. He looked around and smiled. He grabbed the plunger and handed it to me. I tilted my head to the side as if to say ‘what am I supposed to do with this?’ He rolled his eyes and pushed me off the toilet. He pushed the end of the plunger through the window and smashed the glass.

“Oh!” So that’s what it’s for…

I look down at his shirt. “Yell something.” I said. He looked at me in a ‘Okay, but I don’t get the point’ kind of way.

“Um…hi.” He looked at me and shrugged. I sighed.

“Hey, look! It’s Joe Jonas!” I yelled out the window. I ripped a piece of his shirt off. He looked at me with his mouth wide open. I pushed him out of the way the stuck the fabric on a piece of broken glass still attached to the window frame.

“Joe Jonas!?” we heard the fans yell from behind the bathroom door.

“He must be outside!” another yelled.

“Well then, what are we standing here for!?” we heard them run away from the door. Joe and I looked at each other and walked slowly towards the door. We stuck our ears against it to see if they were still there. Nothing. I looked to Joe.

“Nothing.” He said. We both started laughing once again. I loved his laugh.

I stopped laughing in order to get some air before I stopped breathing. I looked to Joe to see that he had also stopped for air. He met my gaze and held it there for a minute. I realized what I was doing and blushed.

“We should get going before it gets dark.” I said looked down. I felt his hand under my chin. It startled me. He looked into my eyes and just stared.

“You have gorgeous eyes.” He said in complete bliss. He leaned into me and kissed me upon my lips. I closed my eyes. I felt like I was walking on clouds. Then it sunk in. I was kissing my best friend’s boyfriend. I should have pulled away right then…but I didn’t want it to stop.
