Yeah, this little bunny refused to go away so I had to write this. Even my non-Abyss playing friend pointed it out. I don’t own.
“Hey, Colonel?” Anise piped up innocently.
They were on their way to Grand Chokmah and the girl had been fidgeting about something or the other for a while now.
“Yes, Anise?” he smiled mildly. Beside him, Luke let out a shudder.
“What’s with your belt?” the brunette asked, pointing to the yellow belt buckle in the front of Jade’s uniform.
“What’s wrong with it, may I ask?”
“Well, it’s… pacman!” Anise made a face. The fonist raised an inquisitive eyebrow. “I didn’t think you were the kind to like pacman, Colonel!”
“I don’t,” he sighed. “His Majesty does and he insisted on having a pacman tournament a year ago. Naturally, I was forced to attend.”
“Aaaand…?” Anise gestured with her hands frantically for him to go on.
“And I won,” Jade shrugged nonchalantly. “The belt was the prize.”
“And you’re actually wearing it?”
“Well, His Majesty took away all of my other belts and whenever I needed a new one, he’d commission a new pacman one,” Jade pushed his glasses up with a sigh.
“Seriously?” Anise looked surprised.
“Of course not,” Jade smiled pleasantly. “You’re far too gullible, Anise.”
“Coooolonel!”
