Paige came strutting up to Alex looking particularly cheerful. “Evening Ms. Nunez.”

Alex mustered a weak whatever.

“Is it everyone hates Paige Day?” the blonde asked confused.

Alex told her how she had invited her to her place for post game wrap ups and didn't show or bother to call. Leaving Alex with a carton of melted ice cream.

Paige gave a weak sorry, then gave her the bad news.

“I just think things are becoming more than cas' with Jessie.”

“Rush into stuff much, pathetic Paige,” Alex sighed as she turned away and left to leave Paige standing there confused.

Alex couldn't let this happen, she went straight to Gavin who was sitting in the food court with a basket of untouched curly fries.

“Spinner I need to talk to you,” Alex said sitting down next to him.

“I'm not in the mood,” he said in his mopey voice.

“This is important, Paige just told me things are getting serious with Jessie,” Alex informed.

“Who cares about Stupid Jessie,” he said uncaring.

“Paige does and if this keeps up she'll be brained washed by him. He's an editor and he can dance that's like the perfect guy for Paige,” she told him.

“Then let him,” he replied.

“Are you just going to sit around feeling sorry for yourself while you lose Paige to Mr. Pretty Boy?” she asked.

“Why are you so concerned? You used to date Paige?” he questioned.

“I was just a convenient rebound for Paige, I care about her, but not like you do,” she explained.

“I don't know,” he said uncertainly.

“I blew my chance with Paige, but she still cares about you. Don't make the mistake that I did,” she ordered.

“You're right I'm going to go for it,” he decided. He got up to go look for Paige before Jessie got his well moisturized hands on her.

Lucky for him Paige was setting up with Marco. He grabbed Paige and dragged her away from everyone.

“Hon what are you doing?” she asked.

“I need to speak to you, ASAP,” he told her.

“I have to set up for the fair,”

“Paige this isn't working out, I can't have this seeing me then going to Stupid Jessie.”

“We've already gone through this, we're just friends-

“I know friends with benefits. Listen Paige that's not going to work, I don't want a prostitute I want a girlfriend.”

“Did you just call me a prostitute?” she asked.

He groaned, “Paige listen I don't want you seeing Jessie anymore.”

“Sweetie, don't do this.”

Before he could reply Jessie came strutting up looking all cool with Alex trailing behind. “Hey Paige got a sec?”

“Jessie now is not a good time,” Paige said nervously.

“Yeah get lost emo boy!” Spinner spat at him.

Jessie just rolled his eyes at Spinner's wit. Just because he dated Ellie didn't make him emo.

He ignored Spinner's lame remark and instead spoke to Paige. “Mind if I get a quote for the Core?”

“Can't you take a hint?” Spinner growled. He stepped up in front of Jessie.

“Okay Spinner,” Jessie said playing it cool.

“Get lost loser,” Spinner ordered.

Paige couldn't handle this battle of testosterone. She felt another panic attack coming on. However the men were too busy to notice. Fortunately Alex was there to calm her.

“I'm going to kick your ass.” Spinner threatened.

“Go ahead.” Jessie said calmly.

Spinner was about to turn around when he swung his fist at Jessie's pretty face. However Jessie saw it coming and moved out of the way. Then he connected his own fist to Spinner's jaw knocking him to the ground.

He looked up to see Alex wrapping her arms around Paige who was breathing heavily.

“You go put on your outfit and you go stand outside,” Alex said to Spinner and Jessie respectively. She took Paige to the food court for cappuccino and comfort glaring at the males in the process.

“Hmm didn't expect that,” Jessie said.

“You started this,” Spinner grumbled.

The next day

Spinner slammed the door to his car as he got out. He had his apology all ready, then he would confess his love. It was full proof.

He was relucent to knock. “I can do this he told his self.” He quickly knocked loudly three times. Getting no answer he continued to knock until he heard Marco's voice.

“Who's there?” Marco asked.

“Its Spinner. Is Paige here?” Spinner demanded.

“Define here,” Marco said uncomfortable with the conversation.

“Marco don't make me kick your ass,” he threatened.

“Fine,” he groaned. Spinner heard him shuffle through the house and up the stairs. Spinner tapped his foot impatiently. Finally he heard Paige's voice.

“Spinner now is not a good time,” Paige's voice called out.

“I need to speak to you, and this can't wait,” Spinner said.

Paige hesitantly opened the door to reveal that she was only wearing her pink bathrobe and her hair was a mess. It didn't take a genius to know what was going on.

“OMG, you're not with Jessie are you?” he demanded.

“Uh Jessie no,” she replied nervously.

“Coming back to bed sweetie.” a voice behind Paige said. Spinner looked in horror to see Alex standing behind her wearing Ellie's blue robe. She wrapper her arms around Paige's waist and smiled evilly at Spinner.

“Oh hey Spinner.” she sneered.

“Alex, what are you- And Paige, but you-” Spinner studdered.

“Sorry hon, I'm kind of back with Alex,” Paige said as sincerely as she could.

“What? When?” he demanded.

“Well after Jessie beat you up,” Paige started

“He didn't beat me up, he just got in a cheap shot,” Spinner defended.

“Right, well after that Alex and I got talking and she kinda confessed her love,” Paige confessed. “And I felt the same way, I was just afraid of what my parents would think.”

“But I made her realize that when you love someone it doesn't matter what others think. Not even jealous exs,” Alex taunted as she kissed Paige's cheek.

Then it hit him, Alex set him up.

“You just used to me to stall Jessie so you could get your greasy hands all over Paige,” he growled.

“Now now Spinner, let's be grown up,” Paige said sweetly.

“We'll see you tomorrow possibly the day after that.” Alex snickered as she slammed the door.

Spinner sighed as he turned away.

“Oh god Alex! Not on the floor.” he heard Paige call out.

“Hey I'm doing homework in here.” Marco complained.

Spinner started back towards his car. He couldn't believe that he had lost Paige to a girl, again. “Hmm I wonder if Darcy is available?”

April Fools. Paige didn't choose Jessie, but she didn't choose Spinner. She chose her true love.
