A/N: I was reading some romance fics about Deidara and Tobi one day when I noticed many of them had a similar theme: Deidara takes off Tobi’s mask and finds out he’s hot, but has one or multiple scars on his face, they angst for about five minutes, then they make out. It got so old that I decided make fun of it despite being one of my favorite pairings.

Disclaimer: If I did own the series… it would have been a gag manga. I bet you guys were expecting me to say “Deidara and Tobi would be a couple.”, didn’t you? DIDN’T YOU?!

Deidara was curious. Curious of what his partner, Tobi, was hiding behind that retarded orange mask of his. Why does he wear it? What does he look like? Is he ugly? Is he the sexiest bishonen to walk the earth? Is he even human?! Okay, that last one was probably a little to much, but that wasn’t the first time Deidara has questioned the boy’s humanity. One time he thought Tobi was actually a monkey that learned to talk. One day, finally, he decided to ask him.

“Tobi, take off your mask, un.” the artist demanded.

Tobi just stared at Deidara with confusion (Of course, Deidara couldn’t tell.) “What do you mean sempai?” he asked.

“I said take of your mask.” Deidara repeated. “You know, the stupid looking orange one with the single eye hole, un.”

“You mean this?” said Tobi as he pointed his finger to his face. “I’m sorry sempai, but I’m afraid I can’t do that.”

“Why not, un?” said Deidara as his patients running thin.

“Well, this isn’t a mask. It’s… my face…”

At least Deidara now knows Tobi isn’t human.
