Two P.M. Tuesday afternoon in the BAU.

“Garcia.”

“Penelope? Hi. It’s Maggie. He has been asking for you is there anyway you can come he only has few hours left?”

“Maggie. I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”

Calling down to the tech pool and switching over all request for information to them Garcia shuts down her computers.

Going out to the bull pen and finding only Prentiss working at her desk Garcia walks over to her friend.

“Emily, I have to leave early there is an emergency. Here is where I will be.” Handing her a piece of paper with an address on it. “If you need me, someone will have to come and get me, cell phones are not allowed. I’m sorry I have to go. Please tell Hotch that I am sorry that I will stay late the rest of the week to make up the time.”

Standing up from her desk and looking hard at her friend, Prentiss is worried, Garcia looks so sad. “Penelope are you all right?”

“No, Emily I’m not. I have to go. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Brushing a tear away from her face she goes.

Leaving the BAU and quickly going to her car, Garcia is at her destination in fifteen minutes.. Making her way into the building, she finds Maggie waiting for her at the door. “He is sleeping right now come have some thing to drink we are monitoring him.” Following Maggie into the brightly colored room with a few tables and a big glass door that leads out to a patio. They sit down at a table and drink some juice and talk .

“I’m sorry Penelope that I called you but he was crying and asking for you. I know that you wanted to be here for him.”

“It’s fine Maggie, is he in pain?”

“No pain, he will pass soon. I’m sorry this must be hard for you.”

Laughing at what Reid said the rest of the team walks into the bullpen. Seeing that Emily is looking worried and walking toward them Hotch asks her. “What wrong?”

“It’s Garcia she left ten minutes ago, she said there was an emergency. She left an address if we needed her. No cell phone contact. She was very upset when she left. She didn’t say anything about it only that she was sorry and that she would stay late and make up the hours.”

Walking over to Prentiss Reid asks her for the address. “I know this place it is a hospice for children.”

“Children. She doesn’t have a child does she? JJ you’re her friend has she ever mentioned having had a child?” Rossi asked.

JJ just shakes her head no. “Penelope has never said anything to me. But there are a lot of thing that she won’t talk about either.”

“Well my team as we don’t have an active case right now and my analyst is missing I think we should go see what did is doing this time. Lets get in the car and go.”

Making there way to the hospice, they park the SUV and walk into the building. Going to the desk, they ask about Penelope Garcia.

“Hi my name is Maggie why don’t you come with me.” Taking them to a conference room with a video monitor. “Penelope is helping one of our children pass he has grown attached to her and he was asking for her. It won’t be long, you can watch from here.”

Garcia goes into Matty’s room and sees a ten-year-old child with a bald head and a big grin on his face but looking very ill.

“Penny! Penny! You came.”

“Yes my love I came.”

Sliding off her shoes and getting on the bed behind the child. Garcia pulls the child on her lap.

“I hear that you are not feeling well today. Did you want my help for something Matty?”

“Penny, I want you to help me get the team out it is time for me to go.”

“Okay Matty I will help you. Lean back on me and get comfy. Once I help, you do this and you close the door they can’t get back in to help you. So then it will be time to go all right?”

“I know Penny I’m tired and I want to go see your mommy and daddy now. Are you sure that they will take care of me in heaven?”

“Oh yes Matty’s I now that they will. When you get there remember to ask Saint Peter for them he will call them and then they will come and get you. Don’t forget their names all right. Miguel Garcia is my daddy and Leigh Garcia is my mommy’s okay?”

“I won’t forget, Penny.”

Snuggling closer to Penny and closing his eyes Matt starts to let go.

“Penny do we need the map maker so that we can find the door?”

“Remember what I told you she doesn’t like leaving her lair, people scare her. Think about her and she will send you the map. Do you have the map yet?

“Yes I have it she sent it to me.”

“ Good, so lets start and get the team out that way they can go help another child fighting just like you did. Who do you want to leave first Matt?”

“Spencer should go first, I liked him he was fun he helped me understand what the doctors were telling me. He always made it so that I wasn’t scared when they talked to me.”

“Open the door for him and tell him thank you and good bye then he will leave.”

“Good bye Spencer thank you. You were fun.”

“Did Spencer leave Matt? Do you want to rest?”

“Yes Penny, Spencer left he smiled at me.”

Watching the monitor and listing to what Garcia and the child are talking about. “What is she doing.” JJ asks Rossi and Hotch

“She is helping a child let go and die.” Rossi answered

“She must have made us, the team part of his regiment to fight the cancer. Now that he is dying she is helping him let go of us. She is one smart lady this analyst of ours.” Hotch replies also.
