summary: She was a traitor. Even after she warned them, they still saw her as a traitor. What they all don't know is, an Akatsuki traitor is the source of the threat. That traitor is set on killing one person and one person only. Thing is, Sakura isn't prepared to let that happen.

SO SORRY IT CAME OUT SO LATE!!!

I was kinda busy…PLUS I had to figure out some things for the new SakuIta story that will be posted after this is over. I FINALLY have the title and summary…which will be posted at the bottom (if I remember to =P) and I’ve JUST finished the first chapter of it so hopefully before this story is done I’ll have finished a couple chapters.

chapter 28

Action

Tsunade rested her throbbing head on the oak desk in front of her. Her tired eyes closed and her grip loosened on the sake glass.

“Lady Tsunaaaadeeee!” Shizune cheerily called, practically skipping inside.

“What Shizune?” She grunted, not wanting to know why the woman was so happy.

“No paper work today, mi’ lady. I called for a spa day with Anko and Kurenai.” Shizune huffed when Tsunade refused to comment. “Plus, since there’s no work, you’re allowed to have your sake-”

“I’M IN!” Tsunade jumped off her seat and threw her paperwork on her desk off the surface. She turned and jumped out of the window behind her, glass shattering mingling with her cries of “Tell someone to clean it up!”

“This is gonna be a long day…” Shizune sighed, turning around only to bump into a busty chest.

“G’mornin Shizune!” Anko grinned. “Did it get her mind off the Uzumaki and Uchiha mission?”

“Hai” Shizune hooked her thumb to point to the broken window.

“Aww no more playing?” Tobi whined, giving Sakura a pout.

“No.” Sakura sighed, rubbing her temple. She didn’t know why Tobi refused to leave the hostage trio.

“But Tobi-”

“No Tobi!” Sakura yelled, losing her patience. Tobi instantly backed off and ran back to the drunk Kisame and Deidara.

“What if we’re stuck down here for a month?! A YEAR?!” Koyo yelled dramatically, panic taking over.

“Then we’ll be stuck here.” Ryku retorted obviously.

“Oh Ryku guess what?”

“What?” Ryku sighed, wondering what it was this time.

“I’m secretly a cannibal.” Koyo flashed her a toothy smile before Ryku rolled her eyes.

“You’re ridiculous.”

“But hey it’s true!”

“I’m sure it is.”

“You don’t believe me?” Koyo pouted.

“No, now leave me alone.” Ryku turned away and rested herself against the cold wall.

Kohame sniffed. She could hear her cousin and the other kunoichi’s conversation from her cell all the way down the hall.

“How did you know one of them, Kohame?” Naruto pressed his face to the bars of his own cell. The bars already had several of his bite marks in attempts to chew his way out.

“Ryku-chan? She’s my cousin.” Kohame brought her knees to her chest, resting her chin on them. “She’s really the only family I have left.”

“Hn”

“Hey, teme! Just because Itachi-”

“Naruto…” Kohame warned. She wondered if the blonde actually forgot how much of a touchy subject the matter was.

“So? The teme started it!” Naruto scoffed.

“You’re all so fucking loud.” The monotone voice made the three of them jump in surprise.

“Who’s there?!” Naruto instinctively snapped.

“Who the hell do you think it is?” Sakura stepped out from the shadows, jingling the pair of keys in her hand.

“Sakura-chan…?” Naruto’s eyes widened.

“Ooo Saku-chan! I knew you’d come around!” Kohame squealed with delight. She cautiously looked behind her once her giddiness died down.

“Don’t worry nobody’s behind me…and Ryku and Koyo will remain with us for a little while longer. Nobody ask questions right now. But I am freeing you, against all my morals.” Green eyes narrowed.

“So it’s against your morals to help old friends?” Sasuke bit out.

“When they don’t deserve it, Uchiha.” She snorted, glaring at the males. “Helping Kohame is no problem to me. Just you two.” Naruto opened his mouth to speak but she caught him off. “And don’t you dare ask why. Now just shut up and follow me once I open up your cell.” She unlocked Kohame’s first, then Naruto’s, and then Sasuke’s.

Again, sorry it’s so short…and late. BUT! I make up for it with the new story info…teehee.

So here’s the summary of my new SakuIta story (the next story after that will most likely be SakuSaso and so on as the poll goes…) ‘Nightmare’

Sakura aspires to become strong and an actual asset to her team. Ever since a dream during her genin years, she fears everyone hates her for her weakness. She will go to extreme lengths to be counted as an equal to both Naruto and Sai. But will she even affiliate herself with the thing her nightmares were once made of?

Any tips and/or comments on this are appreciated. Maybe next chapter or so you’ll get an excerpt…maybe =D
