Another new story i'm going to write. I've read many stories like this so i wanted to try and write my own.

"What do you mean I have to live with Snape during the summer?" Harry asks the headmaster.

"Professor Snape, Harry and I don't think you going back to the Dursleys would be a good idea since they don't like magic." Dumbledore says.

"I don't want to live with Sn-Professor Snape every summer!" Harry says.

"You never really gave him a chance. Give him a chance and you'll see he's not as bad as you think." Dumbledore says.

"I guess its better then living with the Dursleys." Harry says semi-quietly.

"I'm sure it will be at least you'll be around someone more like you." Dumbledore says.

"What about the Weasleys?" Harry says suddenly.

"They don't have the room for you the whole summer but they would love to take you later on toward the end maybe around you're birthday for a few days." Harry nods.

"I guess...Can I go sir?" Dumbledore nods.

"Yes go ahead Harry."

Harry walks out and about ten minuets later Severus Snape enters.

"You wanted to see me Headmaster?" Snape asks.

"Yes Severus. I would like you to watch Harry during summer." Snape scowls.

"I will not watch precious Potter during Summer." Snape says.

"I think if you give Harry a chance you will see he is nothing like James no matter how much he might look like him." Dumbledore says.

"Really what about all the trouble he got into this year?" Snape asks.

"That's just like his dear father."

"Harry also has never had someone really care for him and guide him maybe you can do that and he won't cause as much trouble." Dumbledore says.

"And don't forget he's just as much Lily's son as he is James." Dumbledore adds.

"I guess...Fine I’ll take care of Potter but if I’m his guardian for the summer I will act as such." Dumbledore nods.

"Very well just please make sure Harry is returned in one piece." Dumbledore says with a humorous tone.

"I won't use him for Potions he would taint them." Dumbledore shakes his head.

"Ok then I’ll have Harry come down to your quarters after everyone's left and you can go from their and decide where to go from there." Dumbledore says.

"Unless you want him to ride the train with the others and pick him up there." Severus shakes his head.

"I won't be returning to Spinners End for a few more days so he'll be staying here...where I hope he'll stay out of trouble." Dumbledore nods and dismisses Snape.

The next day after everyone as left Harry makes his way to Snape's chambers with his stuff that was shrunk by Dumbledore. Harry knocks on the door.

"Sir?" Harry says unsure how Snape was going to act.

"Enter Potter." Harry opens the door with caution and enters.

"I want to set some rules and I expect them to be followed. I will tell you the rules you are expected to follow whenever you are at Hogwarts now and when we get to my house i will tell you the rules you will follow there." Harry nods.

"Yes sir." Harry says.

"Ok then, while you are here you will be respectful to all staff and never try and start fights with other students...and yes that includes Mr. Malfoy and his friends. You will keep grades up and there will be NO sneaking around the castle." Harry looks at him like he's crazy.

"Excuse me...Sir but the headmaster said during the summer only." Snape scowls.

"Yes but he gave me guardianship of you so that includes during the school year." Snape says.

"Oh."

"Now since school is out you will be allowed to wonder around the castle as long as you don't get into trouble, disrespect the staff, are on time to meals, AND get your homework done." Harry nods.

"Yes sir." Snape nods.

"Ok punishments will be the same here as they are at Spinners End if you disobey I will ground you, spank you, and or give you extra chores or studying understood?"

"Y-yes sir." Harry says.

“Good you may go but be back by noon for lunch unless you would like your first punishment.” Snape says. Harry goes and hopes he can be back in time for lunch.
