A/N: I've started on another story..So here you go.

Neji arrived back in Konoha after his mission. For once, TenTen didn’t go with him. No, it was only him, on ANBU duty.

His wife was waiting for him, their ten month old son wiggling on her hip.

“Neji, welcome home” she said.

Neji nodded. “ I need to see the Hokage” he said, moving past his wife and son, towards the Hokage Tower.

TenTen nodded, moving with him. Hideki and I missed you,” she said as she reached for his hand.

Neji looked over at his son. Hideki was bubbling spit. Neji reached over with his free hand and wiped the bubbles from his mouth. Hideki latched on to his finger.

TenTen watched as father and son interacted.

“So, tell me how the mission went,” TenTen said, squeezing his hand.

“It was…bloodier than I thought,” he said, haltingly. Hideki still had a hold on Neji’s hand, so when TenTen adjusted him to a more comfortable spot on her hip, he tried to pull Neji’s finger with him.

“I see,” she said, releasing Neji’s hand to grab Hideki’s hand.

Neji walked up the steps once they reached Hokage tower. “You can come if you want,” he said when TenTen stopped.

“I plan to, but Hideki is squirming,” she said as she switched Hideki to the other hip.

Neji reached for Hideki. Hideki squealed when he was in Neji’s arms. Neji cradled his son and smelled his hair. It smelled like baby powder and jasmine. He figured the jasmine was from TenTen.

TenTen linked her hand with Neji’s and gently propelled them forward.

“I have to report my mission to Tsunade-sama. I doubt she’ll think of me as ANBU with Hideki in my arms,” Neji said.

TenTen smirked. She leaned forward, close enough to where she breathed in his ear.

“Look behind you, Neji.”

Behind him were Tsunade and Shizune and Kakashi. All had a smile or smirk on their faces. Neji sighed.

“Hideki is getting big,” Tsunade said, breaking the silence.

TenTen nodded. “He’s almost twenty-seven pounds,” she said, smiling at her son.

Everyone had noticed a change in TenTen since the birth of her baby. She was more sensitive.

Neji sighed. “Sparrow reporting on Mission 00459,” he said, putting his ANBU mask back on.

Tsunade straightened. “Thank you. Do you wish for this information to be heard by anyone other than me?”

“I don’t have a preference,” he answered.

TenTen sat down with Hideki and listened intently as Neji started.

“The suspect ran all the way to Snow Country. I followed him. He was ambushed by rogue nin. I stepped in, killing five of the six rogues. He escaped to Wind Country. I caught up with him and delivered him to his village. Mission successful,” Neji ended his report.

Tsunade nodded. “You may go” she dismissed him. TenTen rose.

“Tsunade may I speak with you? Privately?” she added. Neji looked surprised.

Tsunade nodded.

TenTen handed Neji Hideki and shooed him out into the hallway.

Shizune and Kakashi followed.

“I’d like to start missions again,” TenTen said.

Tsunade looked at TenTen and frowned. “What about Hideki?”

“Well…Hinata has offered to baby-sit him in the past. Lee would love to, also. Neji and I could go ont the same missions, too,” TenTen added.

Tsunade sighed.

“You’ll have to train really hard.”
