Code of Yunoki

Territorial Sophisticate
It has to be a mistake, the most fatal kind there is. When Hihara Kazuki opened the door, he wasn’t expecting Yunoki and his sister making out. He was expecting anything than something that would cost him a heavy moral conscience and possibly a brain damage. Of course, there are several explanations. Miyabi must have caught something in her eye and Yunoki, the good brother he is, was blowing the bothersome particle away. Or maybe it’s how they show family affections. But judging from the angle and the motive of the kiss, it seems rather conclusive. Not to mention Yunoki’s reaction. He casually smiled and then laughed. Miyabi covered her mouth and laughed along. Hihara just stood there, motionless, dead inside even, of the grotesque discovery he stumbled upon. Yunoki observed him for a moment and he stopped laughing. Then he stood up and said, “Hihara, apologies for that inappropriate behavior but since I consider you as my best friend, you ought to know about this. Miyabi and I would like to take you in full confidence.”
Dear gods almighty in heaven and hell...Hihara gulped. He tried to regain the proper mood but considering the stupidity and timeliness of the incident, he couldn’t spare the face to react other than his jaw dropping and his eyeballs almost popping out. Yunoki smiled and patted his shoulder. “Hihara?”
“I brought cake...” Hihara managed to struggle that sentence out of his mouth. “I brought cake...it’s chocolate and there’s lemon meringue. And some...orange juice.”
Yunoki nodded all throughout. “Interesting. I don’t know you like reading us through the menu for the day.”
Miyabi laughed at her brother’s nonchalant joke.
Maybe it was a lesson for mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Hihara scratched his head. Finally he laughed. “I’m gonna go find us some more sweets. I might just finish your share, you know.”
“I’ve no doubt.” Yunoki’s hand was still on his shoulder. He felt the grip tighten. “When you come back, we’ll talk. But knock this time.”
Gods.
Hihara rushed outside and started running, his lungs heavy and his mind disturbed. He’s definitely getting those crab cakes and the cheesy pastries. Then he’s going to mind his own business, answer questions when asked and never forget to knock at the goddamn door!
It was a lovely day.
