This is my first fanfic, so plz R&R, I'd love to hear what you think. Plz tell me if you think it's good or not and what I could improve. I can't promise this'll be good or anything so...My summaries suck though...
Disclaimer: I do not own 1800-Where-R-You? although I wish I owned Rob- but I do own the plot and any additional characters I may decide to add.
So... On with the story then...
Chapter 1
There’s no use in writing this anymore is there? But I still want to; it’s become almost like a habit. Besides, this is the only true version of the story and that’s how I want to remember it if I forget. When I’m old and wrinkly and I have grandkids – hopefully – then I could read this to them and tell them how it was. The TV series on my life is no good. It’s all twisted, and if ever anybody wanted to know how Jess Mastriani – soon to be Wilkins – lived this is how they would know the truth. I’m teacher and all now, but there’s a downside. Karen-Sue wanted the job of music teacher, but I got that one. But she couldn’t leave it at that, now way. Despite me being famous and all and her wanting some of the fame she’s still her old self.
Anyway, back to what I was going to say, you know, about my life, not Karen-Sue’s. Rob and I are going to get married – squee – at the end of this year. Yeah, so it was a long engagement but so what? We wanted to get married only when we both ready for it and settled with good jobs. Well, Rob already had that part sorted, it was only me that needed sorted out. So I moved into the apartment that Doug and Tasha used to occupy since they have a house – and a baby and they’re married. That’s basically it. I started working at Doug and Tasha’s school only a couple of months ago but I’ve realized that I love it. This is where I’m supposed to be. Everything’s perfect. Mom wants a huge wedding for me but I don’t want that. A nice, small, simple wedding would be good. But Mom says she’s not going to let her only daughter get married with a small ceremony. I’m sitting right now writing this, when I’m supposed to be marking books. Oh, look at the time it’s 5 o’clock already. Time for me to go.
I chuckled at what I had written. I guess now I’ll just have to take the books home to mark. Oh well, it’s not like I have much to do except watch TV and do other pointless things. I haven’t seen Rob in what, 4 days? We’ve both been so busy. I was planning on paying a surprise visit, but I’m probably going to have to cancel that. Oh well. I walked out the classroom with the books in my arms, and just my luck, I bumped into someone. Only, that someone, happened to be Karen-Sue Hankey.
“Oh, it’s you Jess,” she says surprised.
“Yeah it’s me.” Who else could it be you nitwit? I sighed.
“Let me help you with that…” she started.
“No, no. I’m fine.” I picked the books up from the floor and stuffed them into a carrier bag. “Well, I’m off then Karen. I’ve got a lot of books to mark.”
“Bye then.”
“Bye,” I said, walking to where Blue Beauty was parked. I gasped and threw myself into a certain someone’s arms when I noticed him standing there.
“Nice to see you too,” Rob said, with that adorable half amused half disgusted look of his. I kissed him soundly, trying to convey all of my feelings for him in that one kiss.
“You’ve ruined everything Rob, I was planning on surprising you.” Yeah, so normally I’m not so touchy-feely but with Rob it’s different. Come on, he is the love of my life. He chuckled.
“Well, guess I’ve surprised you.” He said.
“Yeah, wanna head up to my place?” I asked.
“Sure.” His face became more serious. “I want to talk to you about something anyway.”
Like I said before...R&R!! Please!!
