Through the Fire and the Flames

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry it took so long to update, but I’ve got sooo much going on. School isn’t going so well this year. Hopefully you guys will like this chapter!!!!

Oh and I had to change the spelling of her name cause my computer kept changing it…soo yeah. I’m kinda pissed at it. lol

I woke up with the light from the sun shining on me through the window. With a sigh, I opened my eyes and saw Pony’s face only inches above mine.

“Ohh!” I gasped, twitching away from him with shock. He didn’t move though, and I was grateful. I rolled off of him and gasped again. His naked form lay completely and utterly exposed beneath me. I looked down at myself and saw that I was also--naked. “Ohh!” I said this time, as last night came back to me. “Glory hallelujah.” I whispered, and then smiled.

I leaned down and brushed my hand against Pony’s face.

“Ponyboy?” I cooed. “Come on Ponyboy, wake up.” his eyes cracked open and he peered up at me. I smiled down at him and then bent to gently kiss his lips.

“Danny.” he said groggily.

“Mornin’ sunshine.” he smirked lazily at me and yawned, stretching his arms above his head. My eyes trailed down his chest and stomach, taking in his muscles. He noticed and looked down, then jumped up.

“Holy fuck!” he said, covering himself with the covers. I stared wide eyed at him. He looked at me. “Did I do something stupid last night?” he asked me. I thought about it. Yes. Most definitely.

“No.” I answered, shaking my head sweetly. I scooted closer to him. “Not at all.” I placed my hand on either side of him and pushed him back into a laying position with my upper body, not moving once he was down.

“What time is it?” he asked me.

“About nine thirty.” His arms encircled my waist and held me onto him. I snuggled my face into his shoulder.

“We should probably get up before someone--walks in.” he finished. I sat up and looked at the door as though it would open any second. Subconsciously I pulled the covers up to cover myself. I didn’t mind Ponyboy seeing me, but that was because I loved him and he loved me. If the gang saw me though, I don’t think I could live it down.

Ponyboy chuckled and sat up too. He rolled out of bed and walked over to the closet and pulled out a button down shirt, and then took a pair of boxers and jeans out of the dresser. I tried not to watch, but I couldn’t help but peek every now and then. He caught me though, and smiled.

“Do you have clothes?” he asked me. I shook my head.

“No. I came over in my dress.” I couldn’t wear that again. Everyone would know. . .if they didn’t already. Which they probably did, and as I realized something, I gasped and threw myself face first into my pillow.

“What?” Pony asked me, and I could feel the bed dip beside me. “If its about the dress getting ruined-”

“No!” I moaned. “Soda probably saw us!” Pony was quite for a moment.

“What do you mean?’ he asked me.

“Last night! He wouldn’t have known we were in here. He would have come in!”

“Ohh!” Pony said, and I could hear him holding in a chuckle.

“Pony!” I wailed sitting up. “It’s not funny!”

“I know, Danny. Its just funny how I’ve walked in on him so many times and now he walked in on us.” I scowled at him. “You’re right, its not funny.” he managed to maintain a straight face. He stood up and walked over to his dresser, and threw me a tee shirt and a pair of boxers. “You can wear that for now. I’ll call Dally and tell him to bring some clothes for you.” I nodded and took the clothes and he slid out of the room.

I changed as quickly as I could then escaped from the room to the bathroom. Ever since I began going to the Curtis’s so much, I left a toothbrush here in case. It came in handy at times like this. After relieving myself I brushed my teeth and then went out into the living room.

Soda and Steve were sitting on the couch watching television. Apparently they didn’t have work today. Two-Bit, I could hear in the kitchen, and Ponyboy on the phone. Soda turned to look at me, and I could tell by the look in his eyes that he saw Pony and I last night.

“Morning!” he sang brightly. I stared at him for a while, then blinked, turned around and walked back into Pony’s room. “Danny?” he called after me. I closed the door behind me and laid facedown on the bed. Oh lord.

A knock came on the door and I didn’t answer.

“Danny?” it was Ponyboy. “Can I come in?”

“Not right now Ponyboy.” I answered. He paused.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. Just give me a few minutes.”

“Danny?” Soda’s voice entered the mix. I flushed against the sheets. “Did I do something wrong?”

“No! Will you guys just leave me alone for a minute?” I snapped, lifting my head to glare at the door. They didn’t respond, and after a few moments I laid my head back down. “Ugh! How embarrassing!” I said to myself. “Soda knows I had sex with Pony! My life will be ruined if he tells anyone. Oh my goodness.” I sat up and stopped talking to my self. Well, maybe he didn’t see us. But most likely--he did.

I sat up and went out into the living room. Soda looked at me when I walked in and smiled.

“Hey!” he said. Two-Bit and Steve were gone. I looked around, wondering if maybe they would jump out of no where and tackle me--hey with these boys you can never be to sure.

“Where’d they go?” I asked. Soda looked at Pony and they exchanged a “look”. I narrowed my eyes at them.

“We sent them away.” Pony shrugged. I raised an eye brow at him. “Well, Soda wanted to--talk to you.” he looked at Soda, then stood up. He hugged me. “I’ll be at the lot. Just hollar when your done.” I wanted to say something to stop him but he was out the door before I could so much as blink.

“Soooo. . .” Soda said, standing up and rocking back on his heels.

“Did you?” I asked, not able to get the whole thing out.

“Why don’t you sit? I wanna talk to you about something.” I looked at him for a few moments before sitting across from him on the couch. “So. . . I think you know what I want to talk about.” I nodded, blushing. “I just want you to know that you don’t have to be--embarrassed. I didn’t see much--I didn’t look. Well, I did, but once I saw you I left. . .not that your ugly or anything-”

“Soda.” I said. He began to ramble. “I know what you mean. I’m just glad that you aren’t going to--you know--make fun of me or anything. . .You aren’t, are you?” I asked, realizing he hadn’t said anything about not making fun of me or something like that. He smiled and punched my shoulder lightly.

“Course I’m not. It’s O’naturale!” he said, making me laugh. “But I just wanted to let you know that if you ever need to talk to someone about something--like if he’s doing stuff that your not ready for--let me know, I’ll talk to him.”

“Thanks Soda, but I think I’ll be good.” he smiled.

“Good. And next time you decide to do something in my bed, put a sign on the door or something. I don’t’ want to walk into that again--no offense.”

“None taken. I don’t want that to happen again either.” I chuckled. Soda stood up and slapped me on the shoulder.

“Cool. I’m gonna go meet Two-Bit and Steve at the Dingo. You coming?” I shook my head.

“Nah, Pony and I are gonna hang out.” I replied. He nodded then walked out the door. I followed and stood on the porch. “Ponyboy!” I yelled.

“Done?” he called back.

“Yeah. Come on!” he came running back, fast. I smiled as he ran up the driveway and then met me on the porch, wrapping his arms around me and kissing me.

“Good.” he answered. “I was hoping you wouldn’t take long. I’ve got plans for us today.”

“Really? And what would they be?” I asked him. He just smiled mischievously.

Yay! Done. Reviews? I’m thinking of re-doing the story slightly. I’m not sure I really like how it began. Review let me know what you think! I know its short but its better than nothing!!
