I don’t own Bleach. This is a little poem about adult Nel, and how I view her. The last part id referring to Ichigo and their guilt at loving each other.

There she stands, proud as queen and kingdom,
Shaking her shaggy tail, she defies our disdain.
The ex-tricera’s got some spunk,
and how she loves to flaunt it.
She’s a knight of all she desires,
She’s the master of hearts of hope.
For only she of all her brethren,
Maintains her perpetual tether.
To consume with garish delight, the souls the swordless innocent.
I’m not a monster she says,
Believe me if you will.
If not, then I care little, I will still live when you have withered,
Dried and shivelled, like potpourri, but somewhat like savoury scented.
I’ll be here.
Goddess, can you see yourself?
Betrayer they all call you.
But one does not, and that’s enough,
For you to bear it longer.
Her demeanour is calm and focused, no childish glee is present here.
She fights to avenge those she finds willing,
To sweeten her shame with a promise of friendship.
And for that selfsame ironic motive, she kills her kin with eyes all feral,
and regrets it never.
For she is a warrior, a feisty rebel,
Her honour spoken of with revulsion and reverence alike.
But she does not seek it, no, never,
She just wants to protect them.
Her only fault I’ll tell you now, is favouring him just a little bit more.
He wishes it not, as does she.
Valiant: a synonym for brave, courageous…the list leads on.
Can one tiny fear change this definition,
Can the fear of love be an exception?
Or is it cowardice?
She knows not, and therefore remains repentant.

I know its very abstract but that’s my way, sorry :) Basically I see Nel as a fighter with a sense of honour and conscience. Take that as you will.
Tricera means third in Spanish. Please don’t mention the way I sort of pluralized it, it just worked.
