Author's Note: Okay, so I got bored and decided to make lyrics to go along with some of the instrumental music in Final Fantasy VIII. I was going to wait until I had a few more before I posted these, but I ran out of inspiration. :(

This song seems to be a precursor to Eyes On Me (obviously), so I tried to make some of the lyrics similar to it. In fact, I tried to make it seem like this was probably EoM in its early stages, incomplete and unpolished.

Forever and a day.

Trust Me

I first noticed this song when it was played in the background when Selphie and (insert the two characters you chose in the game here) were stuck at that military base, and she had time to reflect on things. This (and Ride On) seemed very much like Selphie songs to me. I couldn't think of a concept for lyrics for Ride On... so you'll have to settle for just this song.

As for the lyrics themselves, I had the destroyed Trabia Garden in mind, and this song is a reflection of what she was thinking. One more thing (sorry!). If you're trying to sing along, you'll have to wait a little. The main melody takes a while... I'm referring to the melodic part that sounds similar to the Balamb Garden music.

That's what probably makes the lyrics look so short. -.-;;

Roses and Wine

For some reason, I was the most proud of this one. I think I just love the song in general. I think this was played when Rinoa was stuck in space and thought that she was going to die or something. I don't know where the memories part of this song fits in, but the music itself reminded me of, strangely enough, loss of memories and experiences, particularly ones of those you love. Maybe it has to do with the the whole GF thing...

These lyrics are really short, too, but the song's pretty slow, so... I guess if there's more to it, just repeat the verses. Haha.

I've lost my way, so here I stand.
Mem'ries gone, of who I am.
Where is home? It all fades.

Final Fantasy

Ah, of course. Every Final Fantasy game plays this at the end of the final credits' medley. This is the theme to the entire Final Fantasy series, and probably one of my favorite FF pieces ever.

I tried to make the lyrics fit with the entire series rather than just Final Fantasy VIII itself, but I think I came off as a little cheesy and maybe nonsensical?... Well, you'll just have to deal with that. This also took me the longest to finish, because I was very picky about what I wanted to write. This was part of the reason why I held off on posting this for so long.

Ancient legends take me
to my final fantasy.
Wars and battles numb me
in my final fantasy.
