A/N: Putting this story back up after I edited the chapters and stuff….
Chapter 1: Abduction
The wind howled across the park as a girl gripped her collar pulling it up to hide her chin from the cold. She could see her breath in the night sky taking another step down the path.
“It sure is cold tonight…” she mumbled looking at the full moon. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up as she picked up the pace a bit.
“Why oh why am I even out here?” Sakura asked herself feeling a bit uncomfortable under the light of the moon. It looked as if she was staring back at her; a big elliptical eye in the sky keeping watch over everything bellow her. Sakura never liked the moon.
Turning the corner, she heard a brief tapping sound. She thought about what it could be and her eyes widened when she realized someone was following her. Testing this she stopped…Unfortunately so did the footsteps.
‘Is it someone trying to mug me?’ she thought in suspicion.
I gather my prey like sheep
None stray far from me
They are mine
Taking a gulp, Sakura grinned nervously to herself.
‘He isn’t getting anything from me,’ She thought continuing to walk.
As she sped up she heard the footsteps do the same. Pretty soon, Sakura was out of the park and dashing behind a building. Quickly taking out her pepper spray, she jumped from her hiding spot.
“Aha!” she yelled and got in a defensive position. A chill when down her spine as she stopped cold and swallowed the nervous lump in her throat.
Only some leaves blew through the wind with no trace that any one had been there.
“Huh?” she mumbled to herself in confusion.
I am a deceiver
I take pride in my doings
My sheep are mine
I do with them as I please
Sakura didn’t like the feeling she was getting so she shoved the spray in her pocket and took off down the empty paved street.
Breathing heavy, her eyes widened when she heard the same footsteps behind her. She turned around abruptly only to see an empty street.
“Is any one there?!” she yelled to the street nervously. No noise was heard but her own heartbeat ringing in her ears. A queasy feeling squirmed in her stomach unexpectedly.” This isn’t funny! Please leave me alone.”
Feeling a cold sweat running down her face, Sakura felt her gut churn again as her eyes darted around her.
“Stop following me!” she yelled again and sprinted down the street.
Decieve
Thrive
Claim
My sheep are mine
Over come by an unearthing feeling, Sakura turned the corner only to bump into someone. Falling on her butt, she looked up immediately with fear struck eyes.
“Are you alright?” the figure asked, reaching down to pull her up.
“Uh…ya…I just heard someone following me I think…” she mumbled and rubbed the back of her head.
“Would you like me to escort you home?” said the man.
“Huh?” she asked looking quizzically at him.
It was a red haired boy with bags under his eyes.
“Well…if you’re going my way…I suppose…” she said feeling uncomfortable with the thought of being alone out. She looked over him and thought nothing seemed off standing.
“I would just hate to leave someone alone out on the street. You look scared,” he pointed out giving her a concerned look.
Sakura shook her head and smiled.” No, no. I’m fine. I just am a little cold is all.”
Walking down the street with the boy, she noticed that the footsteps stopped. Sighing in relief she looked over at him.
“Thank you. I feel much better now…um…”
“Gaara”
“Gaara…” she said smiling.” That’s an interesting name.”
“Yes…well…it’s old,” he said more to himself.
“Really?” Sakura bit her lip.“ Well, here’s my stop,” she motioned pointing to an apartment complex.
He nodded.
“Thanks for walking me. It made me feel a little more comfortable than if I walked alone. Hope to see you around again,” She said waving. He grinned seeing her back retreating from his sight.
“Oh, there’s no doubt in my mind.”
Waking into the parking lot, she felt uneasy again. Heading up to her apartment and struggled to find her keys.
My sheep
You’re almost safe
But for you to look into my eyes…
Your fate would be sealed
“Shit,” she mumbled watching her keys fall from the second floor of the apartment building. Trotting down, she reached for her keys only to hear a blood curdling scream behind her. Turning her head immediately, she saw Gaara staring wide eyed, then fall to the ground.
“Gaara?!” she yelled confused. Seeing blood seep from the back of his neck her blood went cold.
Immediately she scrambled for her keys, ‘this was the worst night of her life’ reiterating in her head.
She ran up to her apartment and found that she couldn’t put her keys in.
“Little sheep…I found you…”
Sakura looked over her shoulder to see a figure walking up the stairs.
“What the hell?!” she exclaimed feeling tears brim her eyes. She tried to jam the keys in but it wasn’t fitting.
The figure got close enough and turned her around making her gasp in surprise as her body went rigid.
“You are trapped now,” said the boy grinning at her.
The last thing Sakura remembered was two moon lit orbs.
