He walked along the beach staring out at the water every now and then. The sun was setting. The sky was of orange and pink with a few stray clouds. He inhaled the smell of the ocean knowing the ocean was his only true friend. He stopped walking to take a good look at the ocean. The only thing on his mind was her.
She was taken away about a year ago by her parents. He has not seen or heard from her since then. He thought they were so in love that she would at least call him to let him know she was okay. He was told to move on. However, it was not that simple to him. He could not pick up where he left off before he met her. His life was a mess. He did not want to go back to that person. As he stood staring at the ocean, he could hear a song he heard not too long ago on the radio that reminded him of her.
it's been about a year now
ain't seen or heard from you
i've been missing you crazy
(how do you) how do you sleep
i found a letter you wrote me
it smells just like you
there no sweet memories
(how do you) how do you sleep
She sat in her apartment looking at her new college schedule. She was making sure that her classes were not overlapping each other. She decided that it was the best she could do before stopping. She went to place the piece of paper in a folder when the folder fell on the floor. She groaned as she moved to pick the papers up. As she gathered the papers, the realized she had the wrong folder on her desk. This folder contained her memories from her hometown. She slowly rose one piece of paper from the ground and noticed it was from the guy she was with before she was taken away.
She got back up and sat in her chair still reading the letter. She smiled remembering how her life was the last few weeks in her hometown. Yes, some events happened that she wishes she could change. But, she would not change the time she spent with him. Sitting there reading a letter she received from him in one of their classes, she heard her cell phone going off. As it rang, she listened to the song that she chose for her ringtone. It reminded her of him every time someone called her. She could never forget him.

They still to this day do not talk. They both are wondering how and what the other is doing. They both still love each other truly. One event will arrive to bring them back together.
