Words of destruction like gleaming knives
Tears unfallen; crystallized
A heart that bursts with unfelt pain
The feeling of trust taken and betrayed

The stabbing, the cries, the proud that have fallen
The one with great power reduced to the common
The royal, the noble, the friend in between
Three different paths; three destinies

The electrocuting shock in a steel morning sky
The reasons unuttered; no one knows why
Decisions forged; bonds broken too late
Three friends from their youth no longer the same

Their shadows tell stories
Their eyes blaze a plight
The delicate fingers
Play on their light

The path of the Sinner
The path of the Just
The path of Betrayal
The path of the Loved

Buried deep down beneath iron gates
Never to be taken to see daylight again
Their faces burn bright, forever engraved
The visages that hold so much misery and pain
