Chapter 1 - Escape The Hospital

Mizu tied two more shirts together then threw the long line of shirts and sheets out the window. It stopped ten feet above the ground. She gulped and began to climb down, she was halfway down when a nurse appeared at her window, "HEY STOP!!" The nurse screamed. She began to pull at the rope. Mizu climbed down faster, several ofthe shirts ripped apart and Mizu fell. She crashed into some bushes twenty feet from the ground. She struggled to her feet and ran down the street, ignoring the yells behind her.
Kurama curious as to what the yelling was about went towards it. He turned a coner and practicly ran into Mizu. Mizu stumbled a little, "Ahh... sorry..." She mumbled and pushed passed him. She continued to run. She had been locked away in that room for too long. So what if she didn't remember anything. Other people with her condition had been allowed to leave. Why not her? Kurama looekd at her curiously but let her go. He wasn't sure why, but there was something differant about her. He just couldn't place his finger on it.

The nurse ran around the corner followed by a doctor, "E-excuse me..." She panted, "Did you just see a girl run by here... maybe she was we-wearing cat or bunny-ears...?" Kurama blinked, "I think i saw her go that way," he replied pointing away from where Mizu went. The two of them ran in the direction he pointed. Kurama sighed and went in the direction that Mizu had gone. He doubted he'd find her, but he went to go look anyways.

Mizu was hiding in an alleyway, behind a couple of crates, she had heared the doctor and nurse run away, but she didn't come out of her hiding place. She sighed and petted her ears. 'Maybe I should add a tail...?' She thought. Mizu's ears were sticking out above the crates. But, she didn't notice. Kurama walked into the allyway and looked down at her, "What's your name?" he asked knelling down in front of her.

Mizu's eyes widened, she moved away from him. Kurama held out his hand, "It's okay. I won't take you back there. I'm not sure why you left, but whatever the reason, i'll make sure they don't take you back." he said honestly. Mizu looked at his hand, but didn't take it, "Tell me your name first." She said, not trusting him at all. (Would you if a stranger did that?) "Shuichi Minamino, a human just like you." he replied with a small smile. "H-human?" Mizu repeated, "You make it sound like there are things other then humans..." Unknown to her the doctor and nurse were demons that planned to eat her. Kurama chuckled lightly. Mizu got up, "You swear not to take me back?" She asked.
Kurama nodded, "I swear."

Mizu took his hand, "Then do you know of someplace I can stay?"
"You can stay at my house till we can find you a place to live if you'd like to." Kurama said, helping her up. "Thanks." Mizu replied, "I'm Mizu by the way."

"That's a pretty name." Kurama said. He peaked outside the allyway and saw no one. Mizu raised her eyebrows in suprise a little at the compliment, but when he looked back she'd recompozed herself. Kurama chuckled, "Come on, my house isn't to far from here." he said walking down the street with her. Mizu allowed herself to be lead back to his house. Mizu looked around, it was the first time she'd been inside of a house, she'd been in the hospital her entire life. Mizu nodded, "Yes please." Kurama smiled and showed her around his house. Shiori looked out of the kitche, "Hello Suichi... who's your friend?"
