Today is Hibari-sama's birthday! Well, in Malaysia anyway. Feel happy that I managed to restraing myself from writing half of this in Japanese (oh lol). Hope you guys like it!
Hitoribbcchi no Sadame. The destiny of a loner. As much as he loved to beat people up, to watch them writhe in agony, despite the fact he hated crowds (and crowded places), Hibari Kyouya always felt lonely.
5th May, Children's day, Hibari Kyouya's birthday, holiday. Despite that fact (the latter), Hibari was, as usual, sitting in his precious reception room, reading. He was (very) aware of the fact that it was his birthday. Not that he cared much.
A rap on the door made him look up. Annoyed, he got up and opened it. Hibari looked for the most unfortunate person who had dared to interrupt him. After seeing nobody, he was about to close the door again when he realised his visitor was very small, and so he had missed her.
It was the girl who had given him chocolate on Valentines' Day. She shyly handed him a small box with a timid 'Happy birthday', before scampering off.
Musing over the fact that she knew his birthday, he deposited the box onto the table and continued reading without a second thought.
10 minutes later, much to his annoyance, he was again, interrupted, by someone knocking on his door (again). He stormed up to the door and roughly opened it, almost knocking it off its hinges.
This time it was Yamamoto. With his bat and a ball in hand.
'What do you want?' Hibari growled.
'Yo Hibari,' said Yamamoto cheerfully, carelessly ignoring Hibari's fierce glare and tone of voice. 'I thought I might practice baseball today since it's a holiday. But all the other fields in Namimori are already being used, so I thought I might use the school field. But it's locked. Do you have the key?'
Hibari stormed off to unlock the field, but if he had looked back at Yamamoto, he would have noticed him wink to somebody as if in signal.
When Hibari got back to his reception room and banged the door closed, his eyes fell on the table. There was a small package and a card. Wondering what the hell this ridiculous joke was, he picked up the card and opened it.
Hibari-san,
We haven't been able to prepare much more other than this, but please accept it. Happy birthday.
From Sawada, Sasagawa, Yamamoto and Gokudera.
Hibari felt the corner of his mouth twitch as he read the card. And perhaps, for once in his life, Hibari Kyouya didn't fell as lonely and friendless as he used to.
Oops. The last part was… somewhat OOC… or not right… um… well… I hope that was alright… Happy Birthday Hibari-sama :) BTW to all those people who wrote those DinoSqualo fanfics and so thoughtfully changed Squalo's gender, sorry I couldn't review but they were great ;)
