What would have happened if the Buddist Monks hadn't sent away Kanna? What if their spell did something . . . different to her?

Kanna x Ryuuya

based off a scene in an Air Mad Movie I saw

I know that if this was the real ending to Kanna's story, then there wouldn't be a 1000th summer story, but you gotta feel bad for Kanna.

I DO NOT OWN AIR OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS FROM AIR.

ALTERNATE ENDING CHAPTER ONE:

With a heavy heart and trying to keep herself from crying, the last winged being looked at her two companions.

"This is the last order I will ever give you...live...happily...for a long time." The girl's wings sprouted and she took to the skies, determined to keep the soldiers away from her friends. The silver haired man watching called out her name,

hoping she would come back down. "Kanna--!!" A burst of wind made him look away as Kanna put a barrier around the two to protect them. Arrows whistled dangerously close to her as a red ribbon of letters began to circle her.

Not being able to hear Ryuuya's warning, Kanna stayed close to the ground and was hit in the wings with arrows. She tried to fly higher and higher, get away from the soldiers, when the red ribbon started to circle faster and faster and tightened around her wings.

The barrier around Ryuuya and Uraha dissappeared and Ryuuya immediately ran towards Kanna.

There was a burst of light and feathers began falling down like snow, as the light from Kanna's wings grew dimmer and dimmer. A cloud covered the moonn and Ryuuya frantically searched the skies for her. "Kanna?! KANNA?!" There was another burst of light, and he watched in terror as Kanna's wings completely dissappeared.

The girl began plummeting back towards the ground and Ryuuya held his arms out right below her, hoping he could catch her. She sent him crashing to the ground and she lay on top of him, covered in cuts from the arrows. The bells from Kanna's hair fell a few yards away from them and Uraha finally caught up, carrying Kanna's kimono with her. "Lady Kanna..." She whispered, kneeling next to her and Ryuuya. Ryuuya lifted his head and his face turned somewhat red.

"Uraha, can you help?" He stammered a bit, picking her up carefully. Uraha nodded and quickly dressed Kanna's wounds. After a moment of silence, Uraha spoke up. "The soldiers aren't coming after us...they must believe Kanna is...you know..." She said softly, stroking Kanna's hair. Ryuuya stayed silent, sitting close to Kanna. "Sir...Ryuuya..." Kanna whispered in her sleep. He turned away quickly wiping his eyes so Uraha wouldn't see.
