Disclaimer: I do not own Ergo Proxy
Spoiler: If you have not finished the anime series, read at your own risk.
(Pino’s POV)
I am an Autoreiv; therefore, I am a robot with programmed feelings, to provide for her family. While I watch the dome collapse, I decide to sit down, enveloped in the abomination of the Romdo city, a dead society, a city that Vincento created. Pino thinks it is funny; the sky is falling and no one, but us are watching it happen. There is no kerfuffle in the air; the world is empty and quiet, with only my instrument of sound to keep them accompanied, yet I want to see a smile on their faces. It will never
be the same. The air does not have much smell, other than the debris of the metal, the toxic material that came from the explosions and to into their bodies, but not mine. I wonder how they survive in this climate. The dome was the main purpose of their survival, but now it is nothing, yet a small piece of their memory. The harridan, a short-tempered woman I may say, who keeps on talking about what she should do next is mean to me all the time. She is human and I do not need resources to livethat is what makes us different.
(Re-l ‘s POV)
I guess a cheval-de-frise is a nice way to put it; as I see my home in ruins, it has been my enemy for many years and now this obstacle is out of my way. I now have to
look to the outside world for comfort. Vincent may hold the key to our survival. In this sea of nothingness; thus, he is my chevalier, a man of valor, who can protect and
guide us. Ration is low, there is not much to feed upon. I gave thoroughly calculated the means of transportation we have and how much it can take, but it goes by the
zephyr, so we can use it to travel across the land as long as there is a gust.
"Hey, Vincento how long is it going to take, before we see other people?" says Pino.
"I do not know, it is like I have it all programmed in my head."
"Wow, Vincento is amazing."
They continue on their conversing for as long as the sun is in the sky and nothing blocks the light. There is sunlight now, not artificial light, yet my skin does not favor this new source of energy. So I must stay inside the boat or risk getting burned. Now I know that Vincent is an Ergo Proxy; no, I've always known that he was one.
What do we do, now? We have not a place to return to, no one to ask for help, just us and our sanity to keep us alive. None of us asked for it, but fate has a way with changing things for better or worse. Well, worse in my opinion because I could be living a lie if I had not met Vincent, but this life is interesting and I want to see what is out there, beyond the dome of my home. As I continue to write in my diary, I end it with that last sentence and walk out of the bunk.
"What you were saying; in the bunk awhile ago?
"I do not have things to talk about with you, right now." Pino never stops and maybe that is what I find most fascinating about her.
"Meany, who can I go to, if I want to have fun? Kristeva is scary and Vincento seems to be too occupied."
"The day is about to become night and I feel sleepy, so why don't you stop bothering me, I do need it." Wait, let me rephrase my last comment; Pino annoys me more than half the time I am on this boat.
"Re-l I have something to show you." says Vincent
"What is it now?" I said. Frightening Pino in the process.
"I would like to show you my new friend, Aeon."
"What are you talking about we have been away from society for months now, yet you already have lost your mind."
(Vincent’s POV)
Those women know how to keep themselves busy; other than just talking and staring into space, I have noticed that things are going to change. This planet feels different, and it is calling out to me. I must do something and soon. Right now the world is harsh, but we can survive it. However, we cannot live, if our food supply is diminished.
I feel sleepy from the effects that which undeniablely attacks my skin; the sunlight that is now touching my skin. I still wonder what Proxy one said about me, but I digress. So Pino is more talkative now than ever and something seems strange about Re-l. Well it is time to go to sleep. I will need to rest for tomorrow.
