Just for future reference, it’s too tedious to include the “desu”s, “na no”s, “kashira”s, and “da wa”s all the time, and I know you all know that they say it, but for the sake of dialogue flow, I will not be including these in this story. I apologize.

As for the canonicity of this, I’m just hoping to answer all the questions that were left open in the anime, and therefore am not following (but may use some aspects of) the manga. Think of this as a fanmade “season three”, if you will. But, uh, don't take it too seriously. I'm coming up with a lot of this stuff as I go. xD

And yes. There will be JunxShinku fluff. (cackles evilly)

Please enjoy!

She smiled as a familiar face looked upon her. A kind hand gently stroked her cheek as he spoke to her in a way that was beyond the limitation of words.

“I am...? I can...?” she interjected these phrases as his mouth continued to move. But finally, she took comfort in what he told her. She lovingly gripped his hand before it faded into the darkness. “Father...”

And then someone else’s voice called out to her. “Shinku... Shinku...!”

“Jun...” Another face gazed at her. This was another face that she loved dearly... With him by her side, she could...

Deep in an enclosed area of the N-Field, two figures faced each other. The taller one was a rabbit with a humanoid figure and a stately, black tuxedo. The smaller was like snow; soft, light, and perfectly white. She looked up at the rabbit with the face of a young child. They were surrounded by nothing but darkness and doors.

Laplace’s Demon presented two glowing lights to Kirakishou.

“Rosa Mysticae...” the girl stared curiously through one golden eye.

“Correct.” His rich, thoughtful voice flowed without pause; his whiskers remained perfectly still as he talked. “Regrettably, these already have owners... Souseiseki was defeated by Suigintou, and Hina-Ichigo by Shinku...”

As if in response, the Rosa Mysticae sparkled more brilliantly. They wafted away from his gloved hands in order to return to their owners’ bodies. They resembled birds being freed from their cages.

“Because you are a newly born child, I will explain how the Game is played. However...” He smiled in a way that was neither kind nor happy. “There are many alternative ways to play... Some of the Players have decided to take different paths. Some do not wish to fight...”

The girl hovering daintily in the air gave a knowing nod. “Yes...”

“Those Rosa Mysticae I have shown you are what keep each Participant in the Game. However, one of the girls has fallen...”

“Hina-Ichigo. Father cut her link.”

“Very good. I see he told you more than I thought.” Laplace’s Demon’s elongated, furry ears twitched in thought. “Because she had already lost her Rosa Mystica and no longer has the desire to win, she is but an empty shell.”

At that final word, the girl listening grinned. Underneath her white lips were ever whiter teeth. “That shell... I will be taking it.”

The rabbit’s eyes narrowed. “Good. Begin the true Alice Game. I’ll be observing from the sidelines this time...”

He dawned his top hat and regally tapped his cane against an unseen floor. As if they had been visiting, he gave a deep bow, uttering the words, “Stay well.”

With that, Kirakishou fingered the rose that was her right eye. “Hina-Ichigo... I’m coming for you...”

She giggled softly.

Shinku glared with silent impatience. “Jun! My tea is cold! Prepare a new cup for me!”

“Why the heck do I have to do it?” a boy with black hair complained angrily from the kitchen.

“As my servant, you—”
“Enough of this ‘servant’ nonsense!! It’s always, servant this, servant that... You evil, cursed doll!”
“What was that?!”

The two threw insults and arguments back and forth as Jun stormed into the family room. The doll with dichromatic eyes sighed and tried her best to drown the noise out. “You two are always such trouble...!”

In other words, it was an extraordinarily average day in the Sakurada household.

Suiseiseki sat with a sigh on the couch and watched indifferently as Shinku and Jun argued. It was weird, but she was quite jealous of Shinku at the moment. When Shinku argued with Jun, Jun was so half-hearted in his shouts and though no one else noticed, Suiseiseki’s observant eyes knew that their bickering had the effect of making him happy. Maybe it was all in her head, but it never felt that way when she argued with him. Every “you voodoo doll” and “annoying, selfish brat!” felt very sincere to her.

Just for good measures, she sighed again. After a few minutes, the fifth doll and her medium seemed to have fizzled out, and the latter retreated back to the kitchen, probably to fetch the tea that had sparked the argument.

Souseiseki, I miss you so much... Suiseiseki ran a hand through her ‘deceased’ twin’s hair. You always understood Suiseiseki’s feelings and knew how to make everything better...

This spot on the chair... Wait, something was missing. The spot next to Souseiseki was empty... Suiseiseki’s heart skipped a beat as she suddenly realized what was wrong, and she gasped, “Wh... where is Chibi-Ichigo’s body?!”

Shinku cast an alarmed glance at her sister. “What??”

Suiseiseki shrieked as she caught a glimpse of something thin and long slither quickly across the floor and disappear. At first, she thought it was a snake, but then... “Was that... a rose vine?!”

Jun re-entered the room with a cup of tea in his hands. “What’s going on?”

Why... are you taking my body...

Kirakishou heard a small voice at the back of her head as she poured her consciousness into her new shell.

I wanted... to be by everyone’s side... Please don’t hurt them...

“I need this to become... the perfect girl,” Kirakishou explained neutrally.

Alice Game...? Are you my little sister?

“Yes, that’s right. But I’m not going to use the Alice Game. Not yet, anyway. I have a much more ingenius plan than fighting...” The seventh doll smiled wickedly. Her form was solidified, and its previous owner’s voice faded away. “Rest peacefully in your world for the time being, Hina-Ichigo-oneesama.”

“You came... Angel-sama.”

Suigintou’s eyes glazed over, but she didn’t bother with her usual, ‘I told you not to call me that.’ She was too troubled today. As a sister doll, she sensed that something was happening among the rest of her sisters, but she wasn’t sure just what.

“Actually, I was really excited today,” Megu continued, used to Suigintou’s moody silences, “because the nurses told me my health was failing... I’m going to get to die soon.”

As hard as she tried not to, Suigintou allowed worry to slip into her expression. She turned and looked Megu in the face. “What?”

“Yes... My heart is growing weaker. They want to try a new medicine on me to make it stronger, but I told them to not give it to me.”

Megu always spoke of her poor health in a positive light, but something looked wrong about her smile today. At least, that’s how Suigintou felt. The eldest Rozen Maiden with a junk-complexion had grown very close to this human against her will, and perhaps the same thing could have been said about Megu. Suigintou thought (or maybe even hoped, although she didn’t want to admit to it) that maybe — just maybe — Megu had grown to love Suigintou more than she had wanted to die.

Without thinking about it, Suigintou gently stroked her stomach. Father... finally completed me. Megu, can I complete you...? Or will I only lead you to your...

The sky was finally slipping into its purple colors, and Suigintou could hear the quiet breathing of a sleeping Megu. Whether Megu knew this or not, Suigintou wasn’t sure, but she liked to sit in Megu’s windowsill while she was sleeping. The black-haired girl’s rhythmic breaths relaxed Suigintou.

While Suigintou was thinking about heavy matters, such as why Father had finally bestowed a torso onto her, or whether Megu would ever be healthy, an intruder slipped initially unseen through Megu’s mirror...

“Oneesama...” a little voice whispered through the dim room.

Suigintou gasped and jumped up, ready to fight. “Wh-who’s there?”

“I am... Kirakishou... your youngest sister.” With a flourish of white petals and creeping rose vines, a pure white doll pressed forward into the light from the window. The rose in her eye fluttered daintily in the soft breeze.

Smiling a sarcastic, but still tense smile, Suigintou scoffed. “Is that so...? Well, you’re quite a stupid one, Seventh. How about I turn you into junk?”

Kirakishou only smiled eerily. “Go ahead... Suigintou-oneesama.”

Now Suigintou’s expression soured. Why was she hesitating? She wanted so much to pull out her wings, maybe summon her sword, and show this cocky little sister what she was capable of, but...

“Is it her?” As if reading her thoughts, Kirakishou motioned to Megu, who was oblivious that anyone was in her room. “Is she the reason you’re not attacking?” The small doll’s smile was already beginning to grate on Suigintou’s nerves. Something about it seemed mocking.

“I don’t need her. She’s unnecessary to my fighting...” Again, Suigintou paused. She remembered that last battle with Shinku, and how she could feel Megu struggle through the warmth of her contract ring. She knew that by saying she had no need Megu’s energy was a lie. She knew that to her, Megu was...

“My poor, beloved oneesama... I can free you from her... I’ll give you...” From within her chest, Kirakishou extracted a glowing light. It sparkled brilliant shades of blue and purple. “...my Rosa Mystica... in exchange for your medium.”

“...What??”

Phew, that was a little longer than what I'm used to writing. I'm kind of a lazy writer. Next chapter will have fluff and hopefully some other interesting stuff. (smirk) It might become a little cliche, though... I hope you can forgive me. I haven't read a lot of fanfiction lately, so...

Anyway, please review and inflate my ego so that I'm eager to write the next part!
