Chapter 24:

"Drew." ,I said as I noticed who I had fallen on. (Cue loud piercing scream)

"Hi, Bella. You okay? You hit your head pretty hard. Do you want to sit down? You know all you had to do was ask you didn't have to sit in my lap." ,Drew said smileing as he gently touched the spot where I hit my head. I smile and sat down properly in the seat. "Thanks." ,I murmured. Drew took out some headphones and an mp3 player. I scanned the bus agin for signs of Edward. There were none. I was pretty sure I would have noticed him and all his god like glory as soon as I came onto the bus. Unfortunatly no matter how many times I looked he wasn't on the bus. Where is he? ,I thought suddenly desperate at not know where he was. I got a bad feeling about this, and suddenly I was almost hyperventilating on the seat. Then an idea struck. Why don't I just call him? Geez I should have thought of that before. I pulled out my phone and dialed Edward's number. "Miss. Swan please put your phone away." ,Mr. Stain's voice carried over the roar of the bus's engine. I put my phone away obediantly, but was now on the brink of total melt down. A million senarios played through my head. None of them good, explaining what could have happened. I anxiously looked out the window. Then next to me I felt breath on the back of my neck. I turned to see Drew looking at me curiously. "Are you okay? You seem anxious." His eyebrows came togather in confusion. "It's nothing. It's just I don't see Edward on the bus and I'm not sure he made the bus." ,I said. It might have been my imagination but I thought Drew's mouth twitched downward when I mentioned Edward. "Do you know where he is?" , I asked. "Yeah", he answered. "He told me that he had to go somewhere and that to tell you he would meet you at school. I figured someone had already told you though." ,he said. This was supposed to make me feel better but for some reason it only made me feel wose. "Okay ,thanks.", I said. He went back to listening to music and I went back to looking out the window. It was still raining outside and it seemed as if the stormy weather was only getting worse. Even though I was looking out the window I could feel Drew's gaze watching me. I was sure that if I turned and looked at him right now, he would be stareing back. A shiver went up my spine though it wasn't from the cold that seemed to have stirred in the air from the air. The rest of the ride I spent looking out the window at the rain as it hit the paved road. When we reached school I rushed off the bus. I ran to my dormroom, ignoreing the stares I recived. As soon as the door was closed I called Edward. "Ring- Ring- Bella!" ,Edwards voice answered.

"Edward! What happened why wern't you on the bus?" I heard Edward sigh.

"Don't worry so much Bella. I had to talk to Alice. I've also been back at school for awhile. Your at your dormroom. I'll be there well- now." His voice cut off and there was a knock on the door I opened it to see Edward. Relief flooded me.

"What happened?", I said as I put my phone down. He walked in and sat down on the edge of the bed. I sat down next to him.

"Well, Alice called right when I was about to head to the bus. When I went back to get my stuff I thought I'd see if her trip back went good." I knew he wasn't referung to if the plane crashed, he ment her with Jacob.

"As soon as she picked up the phone she didn't stop in her flurry of words. She had a vision and..." He difted off.

"What was the vision?" ,I asked.

"Well, she saw me attacking someone. A human. She didn't see who and she didn't know where. After that I decided rideing the bus cramped in with everyone wasn't safe. I did tell Drew to tell you though. Didn't he?" Edward raised an eyebrow.

"Well, he did. After the fact that I mention I was worried were you were."

Edward's face tensed. "I knew I should have told you in person. I..." He drifted off again. "I don't like him."

I smiled. "That's because your jealous. You don't need to worry, you know. I love you."

He shook his head. "It's not that Bella. Theres..there's something not right about his thoughts. It's like he knows that I can read his mind."

I thought this over and he seemed to sence my uneasiness at the thought, that Drew knew something, and he shook the thought away.

"It's probably noting. I shouldn't worry you. It's most likely my imagination."

"What about this you attacking a human buisness?" ,I asked.

"Well I guess it means that I'll just have to haunt alot more. Though I don't see why I would attack a human when I've become so good at control."

He looked thoughtful. "I'm going hunting tonight.", he said.

Awhile later he left and I got on my pj's. It was only 5:00 right now but I didn't feel like doing anything for the rest of the day except curl up on my dorm bed and read Withering Heights. I grabbed my book and started to read while the sound of raindrops hit the window. I couldn't really consentrate on reading though. For some reason all I could think of was Edward and him hunting outside in the rain. The thought of him seemed to be screaming in the back of my head. Eventually I put my book down and I tried to go to sleep even though it was now only 5:50. My eyes closed and I slowly drifted off.

My dream was the same woods I had started to dream about ever since I came to boarding school. I wasn't running though and this seemed different it almost felt real. "Edward." ,I called and it echoed throught the trees. "Edward. I have to find you. Where are you? You should hear me? Edward, it's ... Edward it's Drew. He knows and he...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

My scream peirced the woods. It hurt my ears, but something or someone had suddenly pulled me from behind. A hand came over my mouth and my answering scream was muffled. Then there was darkness. Or no it wasn't darkness it was...light.

I woke up gasping as if I had really just fought my way free of my pursuer. What had that been about? I wondered. I didn't know but now the feeling of earlier returned. This time though it was stronger and I knew that something bad, really bad was starting. No, it was already going on and it was pulling Edward and I in. We had no escape. I knew that for some reason whatever it may be I had to find Edward fast. Even if that meant searching for him while he was hunting in a storm that seemed to only grow worse.

to be continued...
