Here's my first story! Hope you all enjoy!:)
I guess you could say that my life has been nothing but normal. Well, no one is normal, but just wait till I tell you where I am right now, so you'll see life is NOT normal for me. I'm staring at the yellow eyes of some guy wearing a black cloak, (or is it red) with a plant around his head! I can't tell, but he looks like he'll kill me, so I may as tell you what happened before I got where I am now.
My name, by the way, is Kitten Hachigamaguchi. It's a lot in your mouth, right? The teachers and kids at my school just call me Hachi-san for short, or Kit when they forget how long my last name is. All this started about a day ago in the so-called peaceful town of Mongolia City. It's a great place to live, as long as you avoid downtown where the tough gangs are. There are many cartoon characters in the town, and with all the scenery, the buildings, and the people, the town is still small, so everyone knows your name. The day started out like every other day at my house on 1657 North Westburry Road; I was woken up by my nanny, Beatrice, saying that I was almost late for school.
" KITTEN! GET UP! YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" Beatrice called from the kitchen. Her elephant yelling could have been heard all the way to Burbank. She's that loud when she's upset.
"AAHHH!" I shreiked as I fell out of bed. My rose colored sheet fell off of the bed after me. My pillow was over my thigh as I tried to get up. As soon as I got up, I looked around my barren room with boxes stacked upon one another. If you need to know, Beatrice said this house was too small for us to live in, so, we are moving into the neighboring city of Konohagakure, a village of ninja. I finished packing everything but my bed yesterday. To be honest, I loved it here. I would never have left, but there was always a feeling I could never leave this town, like somehow I was drawn to it.
I stood up and shook off the feeling. I gasped as soon as I saw my digital clock: 7:50.
" AAHH! I was supposed to be up at seven 'o clock! " I ran around my room getting ready, almost tripping on my carpet getting my school shoes on. I had my japanese school outfit on, a blue one with a green ribbon tied up on the hip. I pulled my long, ebony hair into a braid and added my bracelet with the axe ogre on my wrist for good luck. The ogre bracelet was a gift from my deceased parents for my 4th birthday. The strange thing, they died on my 4th birthday in a car crash that somehow spared me, minus the long scratch on my face from the roof between my deep blue eyes.
I rushed down the stairs with my backpack in my hand. Beactrice stopped me before I had even gotten outside of the door. She was wearing a blue dress with a single rose on it. Her slim figure was croutched to my height. She was holding a sack, and had a smile on her freckled face.
" Now remember, Kitten. What are the three things you do in the morning?" She had a I'm-reminding-you-now smirk on her face after asking.
" Go to the bathroom, get ready for school and... um." My mind faltered then and there. " Um..."
" Take your lunch to school." She handed me the sack. I felt embarrassed. I was about to leave without my lunch. Again. Suddenly, that strange feeling returned. One minute, I'm normal in my school girl clothes. The next, I'm covered in an ice coccoon. Needless to say, I've had better things happen to me in the morning. So, I faced the situation with a calm, firm emotion. For about two seconds.
"AAAAHHHHH! WHAT IS THIS!?" I just started to bang on the walls from the hollow center, which not apparent to me, just made the walls thicker.
Beatrice grabbed a crow bar and smashed the ice coccoon, or whatever formed around me. As suddenly as it appeared, it melted and vanished. Beatrice grabbed me and dusted me off. This had happened before, countless times in fact.
" And don't get surprised today, Kitten. In a few hours, we'll be moving to the neighboring town of Konohagakure," Beatrice was shaking ice off of me. Like it would have changed anything that was going on. As my face was smiling, I had a frowning heart. Leaving Mongolia City would mean I would have a better time keeping my ice and water powers public, but then I would have to become a ninja like my cousin, and frankly, I don't wanna die before I turn seventeen.
" Now, after school, take the subway here. We'll be leaving around eight P.M. sharp to get to our new home in Konohagakure. Understand, Kitten?"
I took off after she finished. I ran out the door and down the sidewalk to greet the rosy colored morning. Down the street, Mr. Long was opening his electronic store with his dog, Fu, at his side. I ran towards the two, my lunch in my left hand. I took a left turn and waved as I passed. They waved back. I also could have sworn that Fu yelled, " Good luck, kid!" Must have been my imagination.
Beatrice waved as I took off to the left. She knew I was going to come back. The thing she didn't know was that it would not be that after noon.
