Just to say, I do not own Pokemon; even if I wished I could, I couldn't. xD
And uh, this is my very first fanficccccc, so please be kind, and i'd appreciate R&R. :p
Do keep in mind that characterized Pikachu as an 'it', because it really has no gender, although I myself consider it a male.
But yeah, enough talk, I hope you like this story :)

Ash took a bite of sushi. As he chewed it, he thought about lots of things. And when I said 'lots', I meant it.
Lately, he hadn't felt himself. And apparently to his friends, Brock and Dawn; he wasn't acting himself either.
After he swallowed, he looked over at Pikachu. Pikachu picked up a french fry, and handed it to Ash; but he pushed it away.
"No, thank you." he said softly to Pikachu. It was a bit amazing, Ash had absolutely no appetite. Not in days. It had come to
Dawn making him eat, 'or else'. He tiredly rested his head on the table, digging them into his arms so they couldn't see him and he'd be
sheilded from the sun. Dawn sighed a bit, giving him a half-frown. " Ash, you gotta eat..."
He knew it, he knew he had to. He just didn't want to. Well, even if he did want to, he just couldn't push himself. It wasn't just that he felt
absolutley terrible, but he had so much on his mind. And he honestly didn't know what.
Dawn softly nudged the boy's shoulder. " ...Ash?..." She said to him softly. He lifted his head a bit, just enough to look at her.
"..What?" He asked her, as is she had been bugging him a long time. She removed her hand from him, and set it back by the plate. " Aren't you hungry?"
"Nope." he said; the same answer he had given her for the past two or three days. He didn't know how long exactly. He hardly knew anything anymore.
He had gotten possibly 5 hours of sleep in the past 3 days, in total, and he looked quite terrible. As much as his friends pressured him to take it easy, he couldn't.
He would close his eyes, and lay there, in complete darkness; just thinking. Not really thinking about anything in particular, just random thoughts. He thought about himself
being asleep, but it just made him open his eyes. Agh, he didn't know what else to do. He would occasionally space out in thought, and totally ignore his friend's conversations.
It wasn't his fault, and they knew that too. He couldn't sleep, he wouldn't eat; he was distant. At least in the mind he was. Maybe even distant from himself, and couldn't control it.
"I'm gonna go...do something else.." He said bleakly. Lately, he couldn't really show any emotions either. They knew something had been bothering him, greatly. But, he himself
had no clue what. " Wait, Ash. Tell us, what's wrong?" Dawn asked him. She was concerned, they all were. It of course wasn't the first try to get him to tell them they gave, they had
asked him for days, ever since he first showed signs of his strange behavior. Ash bit his lip and stayed quiet for a moment, before slowly getting himself up and walking away.
"..When you found out, let me know.."
He sat on a boulder by a river bank. And he sat alone, throwing rocks into the river, watching them flow by. He wished he could flow by, without a problem.
He just wish he knew what was wrong with him. He thought he was going crazy, and possibly dying. But that was just him. His friends had more realistic ideas.
He couldn't think clearly, he couldn't sleep, he had no appetite, and didn't want to do anything all day. His head buzzed, with thought, and just a headache.
Probably because he hadn't eaten that much in the last few days; only as much as they had succeeded to make him eat, which really wasn't that much.
Maybe he was sick. Probably. It had to be. You loose your appetite when you're sick, and sometimes you can't sleep because you're too busy feeling terrible.
Dawn sat there with Brock, continuining to eat her food, as she stared at Ash's bowl of food; which was basically full. She let out a sigh...
"It happened again, Brock." There was something about the tone of her voice. Something different. " We should get him to the nearest Pokemon Center. He can't continue on
like this. We'll never be able to travel.." And sooner or later, it would all come back to him, and eventually he'd probably pass out or...die. She didn't want to think about that.
Brock nodded. " First thing in the morning. " It was getting too late to travel.
Back to Ash. He was sitting on a boulder by the river. He continued to gaze out into the water, almost lost in a daze. That's what it looked like already.
Pikachu hopped along, followin the path Ash had followed, and wound up to be sitting next to him on the ground. It stared up at Ash, with some concern. "Pika Pi?"
It said, catching Ash's attention. He looked down at Pikachu, and smiled softly. " Hey buddy.."; Pikachu hopped onto Ash's lap, then climbed up onto his shoulder, looking out
at the same view Ash was looking at himself. It's ears twitched a little, as it listened to the river go by. There was many things Ash could think of, that would cause him to be
acting so weird. He hardly knew who anybody was anymore; his body was so exhausted and sore. He got extra tired doing normal routines, though he usually did nothing.
He couldn't, they didn't make him. He wouldn't force him. They had no idea what troubles he was going through. They first thought he was nervous about a battle, or maybe
he was depressed, or homesick, and now ill. They was endless possibilities. Perhaps they were all the right answers?
" Pikachu.." Ash began; the mouse looked at Ash, twitching its ears breifly. "..I love you.."
