Hogwarts Year 5

Stay Alive

Snape was stood at the desk of his office at Hogwarts, the dust had just settled from his landing into the school. A whole six weeks with Daylight and Jaz had taken a toll on the wizard, he seemed slimmer and more tired than before. Jaz came bashing into the room next, she pulled her luggage out from the fireplace and said heaving it towards the door

"Right I'm going to my dormitory"

"Fine, see you at tomorrow's dinner and no sooner" Snape said back and Jaz marched out.

Snape waited, Daylight had been a very long time and her wolf arrived with Jazmin but then he heard a crack to signal of her coming through. Daylight came crashing through, she twisted her foot on the lose brick in the floor she was warned about and went flying into Snape. They rolled on the floor, she had him pinned down and she said as he went a shade of red

"There's a lose brick there"

"I think there is one in your mind" Snape snapped back and she said getting up and sitting in his seat

"You haven't been the same since we went on the roller coaster"

"Don't you even think about mentioning that in school, that thing was unsafe and very much a unwanted part of the day" Snape snapped back and Daylight said back starting to argue

"It was a day at the park...theme park"

"Daylight" Snape said back and she looked at him and she sighed

"I'm not going to do that again"

"Do what...don't you dare mention that either...not even Jaz figured that out yet" Snape growled back and Daylight replied turning into a wolf

"I guess, but we shouldn't have been in that field"

"It was all your fault, you could have warned me" Snape said back sitting down and Daylight said back

"It was so funny though, pulling you out was nasty... you got me wet through"

"You didn't say the stream was there, you were bounding around and leaping all the time" Snape sighed and Daylight laughed dragging her suitcase out the door

"Told you too wear wellies"

Jaz was stood at the end of the hall and heard the conversation, but she said as Daylight went out of sight

"Oh their hike"

Daylight walked down the hall, she was now normal and she looked as if the world was brighter in her eyes. She smiled, the time at Snape's was so much fun and she wanted to go back and ponce him again. But she had to get ready for the next night as the group were to meet for the first time in six weeks, Hagrid suddenly came around the corner and collided with Daylight. He hardly felt it but Daylight went flying, he stopped and said helping her up

"I'm so sorry Daylight, but I'm so happy I have found you though"

"Why" Daylight asked back and Hagrid replied

"There are a bunch of new spells on the school too keep vampire's out, but also to try and keep all animagus forms in"

"What, who allowed that one?" Daylight asked rather annoyed at the thought of not getting outside the school walls

"The headmistress, she has had it so that the spell works from the lake all the way around to the gates at the front of the school"

"Jaz went to the Gryffindor common room, could you go and tell her this and tell her I have gone to have a chat with our beloved headmistress"

"OK Daylight" Hagrid replied and they parted.

Daylight darted up the stairs, but as she went to burst through the door she saw it was slightly ajar and she listened to Snape, Hermione and McGonagal talking with Snape going first

"This is beyond... they will break out. You have just given them a further reason to get into the forbidden forest"

"Professor they are becoming far to much of a danger to other students now, I know they are hunting Sheila for being a traitor but this might only end in death if they break the barrier" Hermione said back and McGonagal added as she sat to her desk

"I can't watch the barrier so much, my age is really catching up with me and you both have to be aware that there are certain people who might be able to cross the barrier"

But as Daylight listened harder her hearing was nearly destroyed, Jazmin came hurtling up the stairs shouting

"What the heck is going on?"

The pair came crashing through the door, they were both on the floor and Snape said as Daylight smacked Jaz on the head

"I take it you have heard about the barrier's"

"I'd say, it's OK to keep D as a wolf for months on end but locking us in the school ground is against out rights" Jaz snapped and Hermione replied standing up

"But Jazmin, it is for your safety as well as the safety of the rest of the school"

"D argue with me" Jaz said towards Daylight who was having a staring contest with Snape and she said (unexpectedly)

"I have nothing to say"

"Well Daylight for your information...what did you just say?" Snape snapped but then eased off and Jaz asked looking at Daylight

"Are you mad. They are trapping us within the school, we can't go out and help innocent people who need our help"

"We need to help the people here, this year I'm focusing on the school...no vampire, traitor or beast will hurt a single person" Daylight replied and walked out to the silence of the others and Jaz followed snapping at Daylight who was heading towards the main hall

"What the hell was that?"

"I know Palon will get through that barrier, they are good with teaching but sooner or later they will let down their guard and we'll be able to escape" Daylight replied and Jaz suddenly said as they turned into the empty main hall

"That was a cover"

"Well done, if they think I'm going to talk you guys into staying they will put the barrier down and we can sneak out to the forbidden forest" Daylight replied and Jaz asked

"Why there"

"They don't want us to get in there, when they were going to say why you ran into me" Daylight snapped and Jaz opened her mouth in shock and said back

"Oh, D I didn't know"

"Don't worry about it, but we really need to cause some trouble this year... also lets see what we can find out about what Sheila has been up too" Daylight said back and Jaz grinned and laughed

"They group will love this"
