Now first off, let me say I'm not the only author of this story. Wizardartist44 is also writing it. We started talking about one of the pics she made (which can be found on her deviantArt account, WizzieDigiFreak4475) and started thinking how so totally awesome it would have been if Wizzie had lived! And then, this little story was born!
And for the record, this story is now my baby. Any flames on my baby will result in complete and total annihilation of said flamer.
In other news, I have only ONE MORE WEEK of school! Which means more fics and updates for you guys! Everybody do the happy dance!

“GRIZZLY WING!”
Gatomon shut her eyes and gritted her teeth, waiting for the blow. She remained planted in front of Kari, hoping that she would somehow would take most of the blow while Kari would escape with minimal injuries.
But it never came.
Gatomon opened her eyes to see what the hold up was. Her jaw dropped and her eyes went wide.
Wizardmon.
Apparently Myotismon’s last attack hadn’t kept him down. He had taken this deathblow for them. He stood at least ten feet in front of them, his arms outstretched. The attack had torn his clothes and mutilated his hat. Then, eyes wide, he fell back and didn’t get up.
Kari and Gatomon rushed to him. Kari kneeled down on one side, Gatomon on the other.
“Wizardmon…” Gatomon whispered.
“Your going to be alright.” Kari said. She sounded like she was begging him to stay alive, rather than assuring him he’d be just fine. “Isn’t he Gatomon? Isn’t he going to be alright?”
Wizardmon ignored the child’s comments. He turned his head towards Gatomon. “Are you alright?” The pain was apparent in his voice, but he still had that concerned, gentle look in his eyes. Just those three words made Gatomon’s eyes fill with tears.
“You…you saved us.” Gatomon said, looking at him. “Your such a…your such an idiot! Your always thinking of everybody else…never yourself.”
Wizardmon smiled a bit. “I don’t regret anything, Gatomon. I’m glad I met you…you’re my best friend.”
Tears began to gush down Gatomon’s face. She shut her eyes, trying to fight them off. She re-opened her eyes and looked at him. Why was he so unselfish? He was on his deathbed and he was acting like he didn’t care! “Wizardmon…”
“Thank you…Gatomon…” Then, he shut his eyes and went limp.
Kari then let out a sob and threw herself on to Wizardmon, gripping his torn suit and crying into his chest. “Wizardmon! No! It isn’t fair…he didn‘t do anything! It isn’t fair…it isn’t fair…” She looked at Gatomon to see how she was reacting. Gatomon had hung her head and her shoulders were shaking and tears could be seen rolling down her face and on to the ground.
“What a pity…” Myotismon said, smirking. “Oh well…now there’s no one left to protect you both.”
Kari rose and glared at him with tear-filled eyes. “Your so cruel…he was just trying to help his best friend…and you killed him. And now your just standing there smirking! You so…vile! I hate you! And we’re going to make you pay for all the innocent people you made suffer!”
Then, suddenly, the Crest of Light began to glow along with Kari’s digivice.
“What the-” DemiDevimon cried. He dropped it out of shock and Tai jumped up and caught it.
“Kari! Catch!” Tai yelled, throwing the digivice to his sister.
DemiDevimon tried to intercept it again, but Gatomon beat him to it. She leapt into the air, grabbed it, and tossed it to Kari. “Let’s kick his ass.”
Kari held the digivice in her hand and nodded at Gatomon. The two glows grew brighter and, with a swish of blonde hair and flutter of great white wings, Gatomon digivolved. She no longer looked like a little cat anymore. Now she was a beautiful angel with golden blonde hair and a white suit.
“Gatomon’s an angel too?” T.K. asked loudly.
“Myotismon, you’ve tried to take control of both the Human and Digital Worlds, captured and imprisoned innocent humans, and killed my dear friend, Wizardmon. Do you have any regrets at all?” Angewomon asked. She was staring down at him, and she might have been glaring. But you couldn’t tell because of her helmet.
“Of course not, you fool! I’m going to take what is mine, and no angel is going to stop me.” Myotismon sneered.
“Very well.” Angewomon said. “CELESTIAL ARROW!” She raised her arms and a golden halo formed above her. Then something, almost like a sparkling powder, began to fall over her comrades. It seemed to be healing them and giving them more energy, while it had paralyzed Myotismon. WereGarurumon was even back on his feet again.
One by one, each sent one of their attacks into the ring. It began to glow a bright green. The energy shot into Angewomon’s hand and formed an arrow. Years of hate and anger ran through her blood as she aimed the arrow at her former master. “Goodbye, Myotismon!” She let the arrow go.
The arrow hit its mark and Myotismon let out a scream of pain before lightning struck him and he disappeared.
Everyone stared in amazement. Then they realized: it was over. They had won. Many cheers erupted from the children. Tai punched the air and let out a happy cry. Mimi began jumping up and down, clapping her hands happily. But this happy little celebration was interrupted. The building began to quake violently. Kari screamed.
“Lets get out of here!” WereGarurumon yelled.
Quickly the digimon grabbed their humans and flew them off the building. As Izzy was being lifted up into the air by MegaKabuterimon, he noticed something. Wizardmon was still laying there. But if he was dead, his data would have broken up already. “MegaKabuterimon! Grab Wizardmon!”
“What? But why Izzy?” MegaKabuterimon asked.
“Trust me.” was Izzy's simple reply.
MegaKabuterimon nodded and swooped down, scooping Wizardmon up into one giant claw. At that moment the dome began to topple and MegaKabuterimon flew back. He landed several yards away from where the dome fell. The others came running up. Their digimon were now back to their Rookie forms. All expect Angewomon. She was Gatomon once more.
MegaKabuterimon set Wizardmon down on to the ground and reverted back to Tentomon.
Gatomon pinned her ears back and looked away. “Izzy…don’t…I don’t want to look at him…”
“That’s the thing.” Izzy said. “If he was really dead, his data would have broken up.”
“So…he’s…alive?” Matt asked slowly.
Izzy nodded. “Precisely.”
Kari gasped and then looked at Gatomon with a smile. “Do you here that? He’s alive Gatomon!”
“Where can we take him?” Gatomon asked, looking at Izzy. “Don’t you humans have somewhere you go when your injured or sick?”
Izzy nodded. “Yes. A hospital. Hopefully its still in one piece…”
“Matt! T.K!”
Suddenly Mr. Ishida ran up and hugged his two boys. “I’m so glad you two are alright…”
“We beat him Daddy!” T.K. cried happily. “But now we have to get Wizardmon help.” He pointed to the unconscious mage digimon. “Can you drive us to the hospital?”
Mr. Ishida nodded. “Get into the van.”

Minutes later they arrived at the hospital. The automatic doors had been forced open and glass lay broken. They rushed in, Tai leading. Mr. Ishida was holding Wizardmon, who was still out cold. Tai led them into the trashed lobby. Papers were thrown all over the floor and a computer at a desk had been thrown on to the floor and smashed. Some chairs had been over-turned and a couch ripped.
“Looks like through here too…I hope everyone is alright…” Sora said, looking around.
“AH! THE MONSTERS ARE BACK!”
Suddenly a group of men and women, all dressed in scrubs, ran forward. They tackled and pinned their digimon partners and one of the men shoved Mr. Ishida, caused him to stumble and drop Wizardmon on the floor. Three nurses gently pushed the children away.
“Its alright.” one of them said. “Your safe.”
Suddenly someone, that looked a lot like Joe, came running up and hugged him from behind.
“Joe! Your alright!”
Joe sighed. “Yes, I’m alright.”
“Who is this?” Tai asked.
“This is my big brother Jim.” Joe said, gesturing to him. “Where’s Dad?”
Jim frowned. “The monsters took him. And now they’re back.” He glared at the pinned digimon, who weren’t sure whether to fight back or remain calm.
“Don’t worry, these are good digimon. They’re on our side.” Sora explained. “They’re our digimon. It’s a long story, but we promise they won’t hurt you.”
The men and women exchanged glances, then stood.
Gatomon quickly ran to Wizardmon. “Wizardmon…”
“What happened to him?” Jim asked, raising an eyebrow.
“One of the bad digimon, Myotismon, got him.” T.K. said. “We brought him here because he needs help.”
Jim nodded and scooped him up. “Lets go…we have some empty rooms. When those monsters ransacked the place they took some of our patients and some of the workers. We somehow managed to fight them off, with the help of the rest of the patients. Follow me.”
Joe led the group up four flights of stairs and down a hallway. He walked into an empty room and set Wizardmon down on one of the beds. Gatomon jumped up beside him and looked at him worriedly. Kari stood right behind her, setting her hands on the edge of the bed.
“I’m not sure what all we can do for him.” Jim said, rubbing the back of his neck. “This is probably the first ever monster-”
“-actually the proper term is digital monster.” Izzy corrected him. “Or, digimon, for short.”
“…right.” Jim said, looking at Izzy. “But anyways, how do we treat him? What even happened to him?”
Quickly they all went through the long story. When the tale was spun, Jim sat back into a chair and sighed a bit. “Sheesh…and you guys managed to keep these things out of out sight and everything? Boy are we bad family members…but anyways, we need to help your friend. The thing is, I don’t know how.”
“Gatomon,” Izzy said, looking at her, “do you know anything about treating injuries? You did work for Myotismon…someone was bound to get hurt from time-to-time.” He looked at her hopefully.
Gatomon sighed a bit. Truth be told, Wizardmon had normally handled that kind of stuff. She’d never bothered to learn though. But every now and then, she’d picked up a trick or two from Wizardmon. “I know a tiny bit…but not enough to save him.” She pinned her ears back.
“Well, he’s a humanoid right?” Jim interjected. “Do you think it would be alright if we treat him like a human?”
“Its our best bet.” Izzy replied.
“Alright…now run by me everything that happened again. A big fall, he was whipped, nearly drowned, thrown into a wall, and then that deathblow, right?” Jim asked, looking around the room. The children nodded. “Well then, its a miracle nothing is broken…if digimon bones can be broken…but we’ve wasted enough time.” Jim pulled out a small notepad and wrote something on it. He handed it to Joe. “Take that to Harumi. Tell her to bring it right away...we need to put him on the ventilator, too. ”
Joe looked at the note, then his brother. "We might need to check to see if he has any internal bleeding, too."
Jim nodded. “Now hurry.”
Joe nodded and rushed out.
“Hey! Joe! Wait for me!” Gomamon cried, hurrying after him.

About an hour later, everyone had scattered all over the hospital. They were either helping with patients, being taken care of taken care of for their own injuries, or helping clean up. Kari, Gatomon, T.K., and Patamon, however, were in Wizardmon’s room.
“Don’t worry Kari,” T.K. said, “Wizardmon is going to be just fine.”
Patamon nodded in agreement.
That’s when Jim came in, holding a syringe. The second he started towards Wizardmon, Gatomon leapt from Kari’s lap and on to the bed.
“What are you going to do to him?” she hissed.
“Gatomon, its ok.” Kari said, getting to her feet. “The medicine in it will help him. And if he’s awake, he’ll only feel a tiny pinch. I promise.” She smiled comfortingly at Gatomon, who relaxed. She watched Jim very closely as he pulled up Wizardmon’s sleeve and injected the medicine, but she didn’t do anything more.
T.K. sat down on the windowsill. “I wonder if Matt is done helping clean up yet…” He sighed some and looked outside. The thing was, he couldn’t see anything. The fog had not gone away. In fact, he could have sworn it was thickening. “Um…Kari…Patamon…shouldn‘t the fog be going away?”
Kari looked at him curiously and hurried over. Patamon landed on T.K.’s head.
“Why is it getting thicker?” Patamon asked, looking down at T.K.
“If I know Myotismon,” Gatomon said, leaping off of Wizardmon’s bed, “then he’s planning something.”
“But you got rid of him.” Kari said, looking at her partner.
“Did I?” Gatomon asked grimly.
“Uh-oh…” Patamon whispered.

Nope. Neither does Cogy.
Cogy: Hi Rhys!
Rhys: Hi Cogy...so I guess its you and me doing this thing...wait...where's the she-demon? I thought this was her job. I'm used to just standing by and not appearing at all.
Cogy: I've never done this either...
Well, Chi got a restraining order against me, so she won't be doing these things for a while.
Rhys: But you created her!
Cogy: What's a restraining order?
Rhys: Its where you have a judge make someone leave you alone...I never thought of that...I don't have to deal with the fangirls anymore!
Yes you do. Or I kill Calanetta and your children.
Rhys:...
