“You raise me up,
So I can stand on mountains!
You raise me up,
To walk on stormy seas!
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders!
You raise me up, to all that I can be.”

You Raise Me Up; Westlife

Kita Nui shrieked in delight as her Father threw her up into the air and caught her.

“Higher, Daddy! Higher!” she yelled, throwing out her arms, as if she were flying.

Makuta Teridax laughed and cuddled his four-year-old daughter. “Not now, munchkin. Your Mommy should be home soon and she tan my hide if she sees you flying through the air like a Gukko Bird.” He said as he set her down so he could pick up his youngest son.

“You should be walking pretty soon, Greggie.” He cooed to the 13-month-old child. Greg smiled, and giggling he buried his face in his Daddy’s shoulder.”

“Da!” he said loudly.

Teridax beamed. “That’s right, Greg! I’m your Daddy!”

“Daddy, I’m hungwey!” The black-haired, and green-eyed boy whined, clinging to his Father’s leg.”

‘oh crap.’

“Uh…let’s see if we can’t find you a snack.”

“When’s dinner? I’m starving!” Tristan, called over to his Dad, throwing the Kanoka disk back to his nine-year-old brother.

“For the love of…when your Mom gets home she’ll start dinner!” Teridax called to his eldest son.

“Yeah, ‘cause if you try to make it, you’ll burn the house down!” Kaine laughed, running after the Kanoka disk.

Teridax chuckled, watching his children play. “Daddy? I haf to go two da poddy.” A little voice said. Teridax glanced down at the three-year-old.

“Tristan! Come here and hold your little brother! I have to take Lance to the bathroom!”

“Okay, Dad!” Tristan hurried over, clearly remembering what happened the last time Lance didn’t make it to the bathroom.

“ommm….ahhhh….mmmm…yum, yum-“

“Mom, you’re doing it again.”

“Ah—no, I’m not…” Miyuki Black-Nui, said, changing in mid-sentence.

Teridax laughed, his wife usually made weird noises when she feed Greg. She did the same thing with Tristan, Kaine, Patrick, Viktor and Kita, Lance and now, Greg.

Kita was watching her mother, a curious look on her face.

“Mommy, where do babies come from?”

PPTTT!

Teridax choked on his water, his blue eyes bugging out of his head. Miyuki had froze, her fork halfway to her mouth. The question had clearly caught the interest of all six children, ages ten to three.

“Yeah, where do babies come from?” Patrick asked, setting down his fork, his head tilted to the side, his green-blue eyes wide with curiosity.

Teridax and Miyuki exchanged a horrified look. “Uh…well…you see…”

“Uncle Mata Nui brings them.”

Everyone looked at Teridax in surprise. “Yeah!...It’s…kinda like a Naming Day gift…”

“Unkie Mata comes down a chimmey with a babie?” Lance asked. His three-year-old mind was having trouble imagining this. Unkie Mata was HUGE! He was almost as strong as Daddy!
Makuta opened his mouth, then shut it and nodded. “Yes. That’s where babies come from.”

Kita plunked back in her chair, previously having been leaning out of it, watching her parents carefully.

“Oh.” She said slightly disappointed.

“If Uncle Mata brings new babies, the why do the mommies get fat?” Tristan asked, confused.

Miyuki groaned. “Because…just…because! Alright?! You’ll find out when you’re older.”

And the conversation ended there.

“And now we tuck in my little munchkin.” Teridax smiled, folding the blankets over his daughter. He put the little black monkey in her arms, and she squeezed it tightly.

“I love you, Daddy.”

“I love you too, munchkin. I love you, too.”

A/N: See!! He used to be a really good Daddy! I'm not done picking out middle names, and i'm not good at 'baby talk' so...yeah... -sweatdrops-
