Pain and Water
Takes place after vacation, chapter thirty- two, Yuki confronts Kaname about what happened ten years before she was born.
Yuki, Zero, and Kaname stands in the hallway of the school facinf each other. Yuki facing Kaname and Zero is facing Yuki’s back. Tonight is the night. The night she was going to ask him about her past. As much it might pain her. As much it can give her sadness. Or any emotion the past can give her. Yuki wanted to hear it no matter what the cause. The truth is that she will always love Kaname. No matter what.
“Well, Yuki?” Kaname asks with his gentle but sad voice.
“I’m sorry to bother you here, Kaname-sempia.”
“It’s all right. But, your such a mean child.” he looks at Zero for a moment then back at her. “You know how I feel about him. But yet you bring Kiryuu-kun.”
“I asked him and forcefully brought him with me so I won’t be evaded by you.”
“Ah... about how I said I love you?”
Yuki twitches. “Li...”
“Hm?”
“Like that I meant it, but you didn’t like it?”
“There is no change I won’t like it. I love you, from back then, and even now.” she yells and holds her body gently. ‘Several times over the years, you would spare some time for me. I would run into those arms relieved. This beautiful person only look at me gently. Rescusing me from everything.’ she thinks while feeling a small amount of pain in her chest. She can’t explain her feelings. “I have no absolutely no reason to hate you, Kaname-Sama.” she holds her head down, “Even If you are a vampire just like the one that tried to feed off of me. It was because you were there I...”
“Yuuki.” Zero leans on the wall and looks at her while she painfully confess.
“...As a part og growing there is doubt sprouting inside. Why...me? I look at it every reach way. No matter how far I try to reac, I’m not someone who matches you. Kaname- Sama. You have something to do with my missing past.”
For a moment nothing is said. But, a small smile sneaks on Kaname’s face. She runs to him and grab him by the uniform shirt. “I’m right, isn’t it? Then why don’t you tell me the truth! I can’t live like this! I’m not going to turn our bond into an escape path. Want to know so I can become stronger please!”
Kaname looks down at her and touch her hair gently. “Silly girl, it would be easier for you to remain happy inside your box garden a bit longer.
Yuki gasps as she looks into his eyes. She feels the pain in her chest being pressed on as his warm hands touch her skin.
“Even if the hidden truth is drench in blood. You still want to know?”
“Yes, Kaname- Sama.”
Kaname sighs loudly. “I...” he turn to Zero. “You’re the only person who’ve given me warmth. I’ve been afraid that you would have me if you knew the truth.” he looks back at Yuki.
She takes his hand that gently grips her have and blush. :I would never hate you.”
“Then show me proof. Will you be my lover?” he pulls her into an embrace.
“Kaname... sempai.”
They’re eyes meet but she snatches it away. “No, let me go! Did you think if you said that I would pull back? Please let me go. I’m tired of being evaded!” she yells at him and feels the pain in her chest feel so... it hurts. She pulls away but he grabs her by the arm.
“If you prove it, then I’ll promise to tell you. If you face me to say it then I’ll seriously tell you.”
“Liar.”
“I’m not lying. So Yuuki. If you want to know, you should listen to what I have to say.”
“And if you love me you should have answered me!” she snatches her arm back and takes a few steps back with tears in her eyes. “I hate hurtful secrets and games!” her tears and the pain in her heart won’t stop coming. The man she is in love with is causing so much pain and sadness. As she looks at him she looks down quickly to try to make the pain less intense. “I’m sick of this.” She turns and run through the hallways of the school. She needed to get away from him. She needed to be set pain free. All this year she’s been hurt by Zero and Kaname both. She wants it to stop.
Yuki runs across the school and heads to the end where the warm pool area is. This is a place where she can make the pain stop forever. And only this place. She’s done it tons of time but never gone past her limit...until today.
She goes into the warm pool area and place a pole through the bars to pull out to leave. She didn’t want anyone coming in to stop her. No, not this time.
The only way out are the locker rooms on each side which she won’t be seeing any time soon. She takes off her school uniform jacket, socks, shoes, and the rest to leave her with her undershirt and underwear. Then, slowly walks to the tenth feet side of the pool and stands at the edge.
“I don’t want to continue like this. I want to... be at peace.” she takes a step forward and lets her body slam into the water. The cold water hits her like knives but compare the pain she feels already. It’s nothing. She lets herself sink all the way to the cool bottom and watch the light above her slowly disappear.
‘I will finally be at peace.’ she can’t breath or call out for help. She doesn’t have the strength to push up for air. ‘Its over. I’m done.’ The light glares from the ceiling light slowly sinks out from her vision until darkness falls.
