A/N: Hello, everyone. I don’t really know why I got the idea for this story… the idea just sort of popped into my head while I tried to write a chapter for my other story. Anyway, even though it’ll probably suck, here it is.
Disclaimer: I don’t own anything but the plot ;;.

Good lord, he’d never seen anyone like her. She was perfect. Shoulder length blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes, and she was probably the sweetest girl he’d ever met. Yep. Roxas was definitely in love with Naminé. No doubt about it. Only one problem… he couldn’t work up the nerve to ask her out. That was definitely a problem that had to be fixed immediately if he was to spend the rest of his life with this wonderful girl, which he had no doubt was destined to happen. He stopped for a moment to consider his options.
What to do… I need someone to teach me how to talk to girls… thought Roxas. So, he continued, the best person for the job would definitely be… a girl! Good one, Roxas. He thought for a moment about who he should ask.
Well, he could always try Yuffie… no. She’d never let him live it down. Maybe… Kairi! But wait, she’s Naminé’s best friend! If he asked her, she’d probably figure out who he liked and tell her. But wait… wasn’t that what he wanted? Argh! Girls are too damn confusing! Why do boys even put up with them! At that moment, however, he was forcibly reminded why he put up with them by the sudden appearance of a certain lovely blonde.
“Hey Roxas, what’s up?” asked Naminé brightly as she sat down next to the spiky haired boy. He jumped, and fumbled for something to say.
“Oh, h-hey, Naminé. Just thinking about… something,” he replied, nervously. C’mon, this is your chance! Don’t screw up! Just… be calm… be cool… be collected. Ask her what she’s doing later today.
“…”
“Umm… Roxas? Are you okay?” asked Naminé, as Roxas’s left eye twitched. He quickly jumped up.
“Uhh… s-sorry, I’ve gotta go… If I’m late for practice again, Sora said he’s kick me out of the band! Well, gotta go, see ya!” he replied hurriedly. Without waiting for a response, he hurried off in the other direction.
“Okay… that was a little weird…”

Roxas sighed as he stepped into his room. Dammit, dammit, dammit! You screwed up! Thought Roxas as he flopped onto the bottom bunk bed. All you had to do was ask what she was doing, and you couldn’t even manage that! What a failure! Why couldn’t he just grow some… well, you know… and just ask her out! But he could never seem to find the right moment to ask, or the right way to phrase it. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.
Oh, shit! I forgot about practice! He hasn’t been lying when he said he had to go to practice. He wasn’t worried about getting kicked out, though. He left the house and headed down the road to Riku’s house, where they had practice.
“Hey guy’s, what’s up?” asked Roxas as he rushed into Riku’s garage. As Roxas had suspected, Sora was angry with him, but he eventually shouted himself out and practice started.
As they played, Roxas allowed his mind to wander. Okay. I definitely need help… who haven’t I thought about asking… think, Roxas, think! After several moments of intense thought, the answer hit him.
“Aerith!…”
“Um, Roxas? Any particular reason you just shouted Aerith’s name?” asked Riku, eyebrow raised.
“Um… no, actually.”
“…”
“What?”
“Nothing, Roxas.”

A/N: There’s the first chapter. As always, review. Or else Roxas gets it.
