This takes place a few months after fire spirits.

Chapter 1: Strike

Lienna watched the sun rise over the green hills in the distance. She and her brother had left Wintoon a few days ago to train their b-daman skills in the wilderness. They had camped by a small forest that was perfect for training. Being alone with her brother and b-daman was nice, but it wasn't supposed to be vacation. Lienna knew she had to train really hard for the next Winner's Tournament. They had also planned to meet up with Yamato, and the three of them would train, so she also wanted to be stronger for that.

She heard her brother come up behind her, "Are you ready to go?" he asked.

"M-hmm," Lienna sttod up and walked into the wood with her brother.

It was cool and dark inside. Looking at the quiet trees, everything seemed peaceful. But Lienna felt a little uneasy, she clutched his hand.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"It feels wierd," she whispered.

"Yeah, do you want to go back out, and we can just go around it?"

"No, it can't be that bad can it?" she tried to smile.

They walked a bit farther, unlike in most forests, there seemed to be no birds, squirrles, or any other animal. Lienna felt a light breeze brush her face and rustle the leaves. Instead of feeling comforted, she felt a jolt of terror. Beside her, Lienna felt Gray stiffen.

With his left hand, the one Lienna wasn't holding, he reached for his b-daman. Lienna grabbed hers as well. She had a feeling that whatever had frightened them so much was up ahead, and they had to face it.

Through the gloom, Lienna saw a large fugure ahead. It had to be at leats 3 meters high. As she got closer, she saw it was football shaped, and covered in what looked like orange leaves. It had no limbs, and she couldn't tell where it's head was.

When the twins were a few meters away, one leaf on the left side, about eye level with her, fell off to reveal a white hole. Like a spot where an eye would be.

It began to speak in a high, clear voice. Lienna was shocked that it sounded like a normal girl's voice,"What are you two? I have never seen anything so strange."

Lienna felt a strange prescence on her face, like an invisible arm was touching her, but it was extremely hot and sharp. It felt like something was burning and digging into her skin. She screamed and leapt back, dropping her brother's hand and her b-daman.

"Lienna, are you okay?" Gray helped her back to her feet. He turned to the creature,"What did you do to her?"

The thing ignored him and began pondering aloud,"Interesting, so alien..."

Gray stepped in front if Lienna to protect her from futher harm. He repeated his question in an icy voice through clenched teeth,"What. Did. You. Do?"

The creature made a sighing noise,"What stupid beings. But I must study them." It shed a few leaves. And suddeny let forth a low groan. The terrible sound almost knocked the twins over.

Without warning, long arms shot out of the creature, all the leaves were knocked off, but Lienna could not see what lay underneath. One of the pale arms touched her brother...

And then the strange creature and Gray had both disappeared.

I hope that was okay. Other characters will be makin an appearence later.
