Piano in the Dark

Author’s Note: Originally, this was my friend’s idea. She wrote it for a Harry Potter fic. I loved the idea a lot and asked for permission to used the same BASIC idea, but totally turn it into my own. She said yes, so here we go :D

When the lights go down

And the world’s asleep

She plays piano in the dark

Every night before he closed his eyes and went to bed, there was a strange sound he would hear. With an arch of his brow, Sora had to wonder who or what was making the music he heard at night. But when he would look out into the halls, at the other dorm doors, he would think, “No way could a piano fit in these rooms…it’s too big!”. Then he would close his door and walk back to his bed and still the music would reach his ears.

How queer…

So, trying to tune out the beautiful music, Sora finally managed to fall asleep.

x.x.x.x

“Hey…do you guys ever hear that song playing at night?”

Several pairs of eyes looked at Sora in an inquisitive manner, “Huh?” asked the only girl present.

“At night…” Sora started, “I hear someone playing like…the piano…don’t you guys hear it too?” he asked again.

“Uhm…” his friends all exchanged looks with one another, then the girl present turned to look at Sora, “No…maybe you’re just imagining things, or dreaming…?” she offered.

“No…I hear it almost every night.” Sora said with a definite nod. “Roxas, you share rooms with me, don’t you hear it?”

“No…but I do hear you getting up at night a lot…” he said. “But no piano…”

“I swear I hear the piano at night…”

“Sora, the only piano in this school is in the music room.” the girl, whose name was Kairi, said.

“Yeah, and that’s on the other side of the school…” the other boy, Hayner, said.

Sora looked down, kicking his feet a bit despondently as he continued walking with his friends. He knew he wasn’t dreaming nor was he imagining things. What he heard at night was real. The music that filled his head was real, nothing he could ever make up. So what if the music room was on the opposite side of the campus, there could be a piano nearby somewhere. He thought about finding it and maybe asking if anyone was accessible to playing it at night.

It wasn’t like he was complaining about the music, he was just curious. Who was skillful enough to create such a sound? “Hey guys,” Sora said suddenly as he came to a halt, “I think…I’m gonna skip class.” Sora mumbled.

“Huh? YOU skip class?” Hayner exclaimed.

“Yeah, well, I have stuff I need to do, so I’ll catch you guys later!” Sora smiled quickly before pivoting sharply on his heel, and walked away briskly. Kairi, Hayner and Roxas all exchanged befuddled expressions before shrugging and continuing on to class.

Sora quickly walked back to where the dorms were and looked around. Though he lived here for about a good year or so, he had never bothered to look around campus. He just found out where his classes were and went to them. No where else.

From a distance, Sora could hear the sounds from the class out in the field practicing their magic attacks. Just recently, Sora managed to finally master Firaga and Thundaga. He was having a little trouble getting down Blizzaga, but Merlin was saying he was doing perfectly fine. Merlin’s school of magic had a pretty cool campus and a nice school that Sora could afford. He really wanted to take Chocobo riding this semester, but that class filled up too quick and his registration deadline was later in the year.

Looking at the building adjacent to the dorms, Sora walked towards it and walked in. Students walked past him as Sora slowly walked towards the glass stairs. He had half the mind to asked someone what building this was, but he was a bit too shy. Looking around again, he finally mustered up the strength and tapped someone. “Sorry…but what building is this?” he asked.

The person he had disturbed just smiled, “This is the magical arts building.” they said.

“Oh…thank you.” Sora smiled and watched as the person continued descending down the stairs. -Oh…Magical Arts…- Sora repeated to himself and continued upwards. He never ventured into this building before and was quite curious of what secrets the building had for him to discover. When the brunet finally reached the top of the stairs, he was presented to the second floor. There were many doors littering the walls, but Sora just slowly passed each one. Nothing seemed too interesting.

Maybe he should ask if there was a music room or something.

So Sora looked around and stopped the first person closest to him, “Excuse me…” he started, “Uhm, I was just wondering if there is a…music room here?”

“Oh…yeah, there is one down the hall. It’ll say it on the door, can’t miss it.” the person said with a quaint smile. Sora nodded a thanks and walked on.

So there is a music room here…interesting…- Sora thought curiously and slowly sauntered down the hall. Some classes were in session and Sora peered into a handful of them; seeing if he happen to know anyone. Not really seeing anyone or anything of interest, Sora rounded the corner and kept an eye out for the room the person had pointed out. Several steps later, blue eyes caught sight of a sign that read ‘Piano Room’. Sora nearly sprinted towards the door.. He looked through the window before yanking the door open.

Walking inside, Sora saw that the room only had several desks, a white board that had black tape running horizontally along it in the form of music bars, and a large grand piano. Letting the heavy door close behind him, Sora slowly walked into the empty room, towards the large piano. -Is this…where the music is coming from?- Sora asked himself. There was a possibility, but then again, he had to wonder how he could hear this piano from his room. After all, this was a sound proof room. There was no way he could have heard the piano at night.

Walking around the large instrument, Sora slowly opened the piano, revealing ivory and ebony keys. Running a hand down the keys, Sora pressed down on a white key.

What happen made him blink and press the key again.

No sound could be heard.

Sora tried hitting another key, but no sound emitted from the piano. No sound whatsoever. Sora stood there, staring at the instrument in disbelief. Now he knew he couldn’t hear anything from this particular instrument. The piano must be broken. Sora pressed down on another key again, but yet again, no sounds. The brunet frowned and shrugged, slowly closing the piano keys again and walked around the large instrument.

So it made no sound, that was odd. That ruled out this piano then. If it wasn’t this, then what was it? Perhaps someone was playing a recording of a piano? -No…- Sora thought, -The person sometimes stops and starts over or plays another song…- it just wasn’t a recording. Slowly walking away from the piano, Sora sighed and ran a frustrated hand through his hair before exiting the room.

Well, he would find the source sooner or later.

x.x.x.x

Later was now.

Sitting up, Sora looked around the room and sighed, irritated. There was the piano, again. The brunet looked across the room at Roxas, who was sleeping away. Sora fowned. He could hear that piano as clear as day; as if he was standing right next to it.

Well, tonight he was going to find out where this song was coming from. Quietly as he could, Sora got out of his bed and walked briskly passt Roxas. Pulling on a jacket before leaving, Sora exited his assigned dorm and slowly walked down the hall. “Wow…never knew how…creepy the school was…at night, heh.” Sora said to himself. While passing each room, he leaned in close to hear if the music was coming from their room. But as he passed each door, he found the music was only getting a bit louder.

The sound wasn’t coming from any of the other rooms, that at least was certain. Sora then ventured outside and stopped. The music could still be heard even from outside. Despite the deafening sounds the crickets were making, Sora still heard the piano music. It was a beautiful piece. The crescendos and the way the person used the forte at the end of every other music bar; Sora was quite captivated.

Blue eyes turned to the building he had projected into earlier today. Sora stared at the building for a moment before walking towards it. Surely it was closed by now, so no one couldn’t possibly be inside. Still, Sora walked to the two dual glass doors and placed a tanned hand on the handle. He wasn’t expecting much, but when the door pulled open, Sora blinked and just stood there. It was a dumbfounding moment and the brunet would have gotten caught at any time standing there like he did. So trying to regain his posture, Sora quickly walked inside.

The music seemed to be echoing inside the building, bouncing off the glass paned walls, rising and circling around Sora. There were so many places the music could have been impending from, but Sora knew where the piano was.

Quickly ascending the stairs, Sora spiraled upwards and stopped at the fork at the top of the stairs. Going to where he remembered where the piano laid, Sora slowly made his towards the door. The music was no louder than it was from outside the building or from his room, but Sora pushed the door open nonetheless.

Peking in, Sora turned his head and saw someone sitting at the piano. -Are they…playing it? Can’t be! I tried and it didn’t work!- Sora thought and walked fully inside. The heavy door slammed behind him and he music stopped.

“Who’s there?” came a hushed voice.

Sora blinked, -I know that voice!- he thought, “Riku?” he called out. There was a pause, silence falling around the room one more.

“S-Sora!?” Slowly, Riku revealed himself from behind the grand piano and stood a ways away from Sora. “What are you…doing up so late?”

“I could ask you the same question!” Sora exclaimed. “Were you playing?”

“Y-you could hear?” Riku asked.

“Yeah, but…that’s weird…” the younger of he two said skeptically.

“What is…?” Riku asked, interest piqued.

“The piano, you were just playing it! But when I tried playing it this morning…” Sora tapped his chin thoughtfully.

Riku just smiled thinly and waved a hand, a way of dismissing the subject, “We should probably get back to the dorms.” he said. Sora smiled and nodded, completely forgetting about the piano. He was just glad he found out who and what was making the music at night.

While they were descending the stairs, Sora turned to look at Riku, “Hey, why are you playing this late anyways?” he asked.

There was a slight falter in Riku’s stride, but Sora was a bit too sleepy to notice, “It’s easier to practice.” Riku murmured, “No one around to bug you.” he smiled fully. Sora laughed.

“I can hear it all the way from my dorm room, isn’t that weird?”

Riku just laughed a bit hesitantly, “A bit…”

Sora smiled, “Anyways, the song you were playing was really pretty.” the brunet said, “I mean it.”

Riku just looked at the other boy, “You could really hear it?” he asked quietly.

“…yes…” Sora answered slowly.

Riku looked to the side, chewing his bottom lip, “…I gotta go, night.” he said quickly, walking quickly out of the building. Sora blinked, standing there for a minute.

What just happened?

x.x.x.x

Sora was sitting in front of the what he thought was a broken piano. His hands were on the ivory keys, a completely confused look on his face. Last night, he heard this piano being played, so why can’t it make any sounds now? Did he have to insert munny somewhere or was he just inept at playing a musical instrument? -What was Riku doing to make this work?- he asked, brows furrowed.

He tried pressing down on all the keys again, but nothing happened. “Argh!” he growled, head falling onto the keys. “It’s not working…” he muttered, a frown appearing on his lips. He thought back to when Riku was playing it last night; it was such a beautiful song. He wondered briefly what composer it could have been that created the music and where he could possibly get a recording if any.

“Or maybe I can just ask Riku directly…!” he thought quickly, sitting up abruptly and smiled. “Riku would know…and maybe I can ask him why the piano works for him…and not me.” Sora said to himself and nodded.

He grabbed his belongings that laid abandoned on the floor and quickly ran towards the door. The brunet walked vigorously out of the glass building, the echoes of spells being cast from the P.E. fields reaching his ears. He wondered where he could find Riku.

He knew where Kairi and the others were though. They could usually be found at the cafeteria around this time of day. So Sora headed towards the school’s café, his text books becoming a bit too heavy for him as he walked. The brunet quickly crossed the rather large campus, finally spotting the café in the distance.

Saying a curt thanks to someone as they held the door open for Sora as they left, blue eyes quickly scanned the room. -Where is…ah!- Sora quickly located the back of Kairi’s head. “Kairi!” he called. The girl looked over her shoulder, smiling and waving at Sora as he approached.

“Sora!” she called. Smiling, Sora stole a seat next to her. “How are you?” she asked.

“Pretty good.”

“He was walking around again last night.” Roxas said. Sora just laughed.

“I heard it again.” he said in defense.

“The piano you mean?” Hayner asked.

“Yeah! Clear as day. There’s a piano there in the Magical Arts building!” he stated, pointing in the general direction of the building.

“Really?” all three asked.

“Yeah!” Sora nodded.

“I wonder why we never knew that…” Roxas murmured.

“Yeah, especially since I have class in there.” Hayner laughed.

“Well, was it that piano?” Kairi asked.

“No…when I tried to play it, it made no sound.” Sora frowned. “Besides…how can I hear it from the dorms? But then again…”

“Well, it IS the Magical Arts building, silly.” Kairi chuckled.

Blue eyes blinked, “Oh yeah!” Sora gasped. “But…when I went to check it out again last night,” he started, catching everyone’s attention, “Someone WAS playing it, and I could hear it all! Clear as day.” he nodded to confirm himself.

“Weird…” Hayner said with a slow smile growing on his face, “Who was it?” he asked.

“It was Riku.” Sora said.

“Riku?” Roxas asked.

The brunet nodded, “Yeah, he was playing it…but when I tried to…nothing…” Sora murmured. He tapped his chin, looking questioningly at the table.

“We can find out why.” Kairi said.

“Well, I was going to ask Riku myself.” Sora spoke up. “I mean…he did sort of leave in a rush afterwards…”

“Do you know where he is?” Hayner asked.

“No…I was going to ask you guys.” Sora said with a blink. “You guys don’t know where he is too?” he asked.

“Well, last I saw he was off to the P.E. fields for spell training.” Kairi said.

“Oh yeah!” Sora nodded, “Ok, I’ll catch up with you guys later then!” he said, standing up from the table, “Roxas, do me a favor and take my books? They’re troublesome to carry around.” he said.

“Sure.” the blond nodded. He took the heavy books from Sora’s hands and set them down on the chair next to him.

“Bye guys! Thanks!” Sora said as he started to walk away.

“Bye!” all three said in unison. Sora exited the café, making his way towards the fields. Riku was good at magic, more so than he was. He had already mastered all third level spells, it was amazing. Sora only hoped to be just as good as his childhood friend.

They grew up together in a quaint little place off the islands of Destiny Islands. They met when Sora was four and Riku was five. They have been friends ever since then. They attended the same schools all up until now; same elementary school, middle school, high school, and now university. Since Riku was older, he knew what to do before Sora did and helped him on his academic climb.

Then again, Riku was always there to help him; there to give him a hand when needed. Sora could always count on the silver haired teen for anything and Sora, in turn, tried to do everything he could for Riku.

Climbing the gray stairs that lead up to the high grassy field, Sora saw several classes out today, practicing magic, flying or summoning. “I want you to summon Stitch!” a teacher said to a student. The student nodded and took out a small charm and began to summon the blue monster.

The brunet looked around, trying to locate Riku. He looked at the class that was practicing casting level one spells. “Do a reflect.” came Riku’s voice. Sora’s eyes dragged along each student till he saw Riku standing there, a keyblade in hand as he held a whistle in the other. “Ready? Go!” Riku said, blowing on the whistle and then promptly fired a level one blizzard spell at the younger student.

The small blizzard spell bounced off the shield that the first year had created and disappeared as it floated away. “Good job! All right, next!” Riku called.

“Haha, looks like you’re having fun.” Sora said.

“Oh! Sora.” Riku smiled, “What are you doing here?” he asked.

“Looking for you! What are you doing?”

“Training the students in basic magic.” Riku said, “First years.” he added.

“Oh…I see.” Sora nodded, “You’re good at magic.” Sora complimented.

“Not that bad.”

“Better than me!” the brunet laughed. Riku just smiled and turned back towards the student who was awkwardly standing there, waiting for Riku’s instruction.

“I want you to counter this, ok? No reflect magic.” he said. The student nodded, a weapon of their choice in their hands. It was a pair on nunchaku. “All right?” he asked.

“Right!” said the girl. Riku nodded and cast a level one fire towards her. The girl reacted quickly, casting a stop spell on the fireball. Then she promptly threw a blizzard spell at the stilled fireball and both spells canceled each other out, leaving a lingering trail of smoke behind.

“Good.” Riku nodded, “Ok guys, ten minute break.” he called. All the students smiled in relief. “So, what’s up?” Riku asked again.

“Well…you know that piano?” Sora asked. Riku’s body went rigid for a moment, but the brunet didn’t catch the slight change.

“What about it?” Riku asked.

“Well…when I played it…” Sora started, a perplexed look on his face, “it didn’t work…but when you played it…I could hear it as clear as day…why is that?” he asked, a curious look washing over his face as he looked up at the older male.

Riku was silent for a moment before opening his mouth, “That piano is magical.” he said, “That’s about it.”

“So you have to use magic?” Sora asked, interest mildly piqued.

“Well…yes…I can’t really explain.” Riku smiled. “Maybe if you ask a teacher…?” he asked.

“Good idea…are you busy now?” Sora asked.

“I have to drill this class.”

“But you’re not a teacher.”

“No…but I am the highest in my class…” Riku said with a shrug, a disheartened smile on his lips.

“Haha, that’s what you get.” Sora laughed.

“Yeah, but who’s top in theirs too?” Riku asked, nudging Sora. The brunet laughed.

“I’ll beat you yet.” Sora said. The two friends laughed for a moment, Riku chuckling and shaking his head. Sora smiled up at the older male, “Ok, I’ll catch you later then.” Sora said.

“All right.” Riku said, waving as Sora walked away.

x.x.x.x

“So did Riku say anything?” Kairi asked. Both herself and Sora were walking towards the Magical Arts building, Sora intent on finding out how the piano worked.

“Not really…” Sora said, am indifferent smile on the corner of his lips.

“Aw…why not?” she asked as Sora held the glass door open for her.

“I don’t know, he just said he didn’t know how it worked either.” Sora pouted.

“That doesn’t make any sense.” Kairi smiled. The sun was setting behind them, a low tint of orange and pink coloring the sky. A sliver of the moon was present as the sun dove under the horizon, saying good night to this side of the world.

“Why not?” Sora asked, leading her up the stairs.

“Well because…how can he not know how it works…yet be able to still play the piano?” Kairi asked.

“I…maybe it’s one of those…I know how to work it, but I don’t know how to explain it, type of things.” Sora said.

“I guess…” Kairi smiled. She followed Sora up the stairs, followed him down the hall to the left and towards a door that had the sign ‘Music Room’ painted on it. “I never knew this existed.” She said.

“Me neither!” Sora said and pulled open the heavy set door. Kairi and Sora walked in, the sun casting a sepia color into the room as it was still falling down from the sky.

“Hello?” came a voice.

Sora looked up and saw another lady standing on the opposite side of the room, “May I help you?” came her soft voice.

“Hello…are you the teacher here?”

“Yes, I am. I’m Ms. Gainsborough. Aeris Gainsborough.” the teacher said. She walked around from behind the piano and towards Sora and Kairi. A soft set smile was presented to the two students.

“Hi Ms. Gainsborough.” Sora smiled, “Uhm…were you playing that piano?” Sora asked curiously as he glances over at the instrument.

“Oh my, could you hear my tune?” she laughed softly, “Yes, I was.”

Sora looked at Kairi who shrugged, “No, we couldn’t hear it but…” Kairi murmured, confounded.

“But I can…well…not now though…maybe it’s only a night thing…?” Sora asked, looking Kairi. The red shrugged, just as baffled.

“Oh, do you hear a tune?” Aeris asked.

“I do. At night though.” Sora said.

“Oh I see.” she smiled. “So you hear a Tune of Heart. How cute.” She smiled, her pale hands folding in front of her.

“Tune of Heart?” Sora repeated.

“Yes, a Tune of Heart.”

“What’s that?” Kairi asked.

Smiling, Aeris motioned for Sora and Kairi to follow her. The pair ensued behind her, a somewhat confused look on their faces. “This piano is magical.” she began to explain. “It plays a tune that is in your heart.” she says. “No one can hear it, except the person that is in your heart.” she explained. “I made it.”

“You did?” the two asked simultaneously.

“Yes, I did.” she smiled. The teacher sat down on the piano bench, running her slim fingers across the ivory keys. “The purpose of this piano was for a special someone.” she said, “You see…when a person has someone in their heart, and plays this piano, the tune in your heart reaches their ear. Only they can hear the tune. I built this piano because I wanted to reach someone.”

“Who?” Kairi asked, smoothing out her pink sundress.

“Someone very important to me.” the teacher smiled softly, “He’s out there…somewhere, and so I hope he can hear my tune.” Aeris said.

Sora and Kairi smiled, “Oh how romantic…” Kairi sighed, a hand over her heart.

“So…” Sora started, “you mean…the song I hear…?”

Turning to look at Sora, Aeris smiled and nodded, “Someone who is playing this, has you in their heart.” she confirmed.

Kairi blinked and smiled, “Oh Sora, that’s so cute!” she said.

“Huh?” Sora blinked, looking at Kairi. “What?”

“You silly.” Kairi smiled, “Don’t you get it?” she asked. Laughing at when her friend shook his head no, Kairi looked at the piano and then at Sora, “Riku has you in his heart.”

x.x.x.x

There it was again.

The Tune of Heart.

After Kairi had told Sora that Riku had him in his heart, the brunet was stunned into speechlessness. -Riku…me?- he thought. Though as he sat in his bed, looking out the window towards the glowing moon, Riku’s song reached his ears again.

Something so soft and wonderful…was really meant for him.

Sora looked down in his lap, a befuddled look on his face. He had two options really. He could, one, ignore Riku’s Tune of Heart or two, go and confront him now. Swallowing, the brunet fiddled with his fingers; he knew what to do.

Slowly stepping out into the hall, careful to not wake Roxas up, Sora silently ran towards the Magical Arts building again, intent now to face Riku. While he ran, the song that played for him and only him filled his ears. Riku really did have a beautiful song to play. Sora was flattered.

He ran up the glass stairs. After pulling open the glass doors at the entrance, he walked slowly towards the music room. Swallowing as he stood in front of the heavy door, Sora gathered himself up, slowing his breath. He opened the door.

Blue eyes scanned the room, spotting a shadow of a figure sitting behind the mystical piano Ms. Gainsborough made. “Riku?” Sora called.

The music stopped, “Sora?”

Sora stood still for a moment as Riku stood up and revealed himself into the moonlight that poured into the room. “Hey…” Sora smiled.

“I…could you hear…it again?” Riku asked.

“Yeah…” Sora said, gathering his courage, “And…I know why too!” he said. Riku stood there and smiled slowly.

“You do?” he asked.

“Yeah…” Sora nodded, “and…I…” he shifted uncomfortably. “I…was wondering…why…”

“Why…” Riku echoed, “Why…you?” he asked. Sora nodded, not able to speak as he avoided aqua eyes that were studying him. “…why not you?” Riku asked, stepping closer towards his friend. “I…I can’t remember when I … started to like you more than a friend…but…”

Sora twitched involuntarily as Riku’s shoes came into his line of vision, “But…?” he asked.

“But…when I heard about this piano…” Riku murmured, “I wanted to know…if what I was feeling…was true.” he said. Sora slowly looked up.

“True?”

Smiling, Riku nodded, “I mean…how weird is it? To like your best friend? I…”Riku shrugged, “I’m not that slick you know. I’m not a lady killer like everyone makes me out to be.” he said practically, scratching the back of his head. Sora laughed.

“The song you played…it was beautiful…” Sora said. Riku smiled.

“I heard your song too.” Riku said.

Sora blinked, “Huh?”

Riku chuckled, “Didn’t you say you tried playing it?” Riku asked.

“…yeah…but…”

“You don’t have to know how to play the piano for your song to work.” Riku said, “I heard your song.”

“Are you sure it’s mine?” he asked.

“Try it.” Riku said. Sora hesitated, but Riku shoved him forward and Sora complied. The brunet stood in front of the piano keys, looking at Riku then back at the grand piano. “Go ahead.” Riku nodded. Sora nodded back, slowly reaching out to press on several keys.

“Can you…hear it?” Sora asked as he idly pressed down on random keys.

Riku smiled and nodded, “Yes. It’s a very Sora song.” Riku said, closing his eyes to listen. Sora laughed softly, playing for several more seconds before stopping.

“So then…if you can hear my Tune of Heart…and I can hear your Tune of Heart…” Sora asked, trying to put two and two together. Riku smiled.

“You never were the brightest one in the box, Sora.” Riku said.

“Hey!” Sora frowned.

“I’m kidding.” Riku said, putting their foreheads together. “I’m kidding.” Riku murmured, his eyes looking into azure blue. “It means…we’re both in each other’s hearts.” he said, “And I’m very happy I have a place in yours.” he said.

Sora blinked, a bit confused, but smiled a moment later, “I’m glad I have one in yours too.” he murmured. Riku smiled, pausing for a moment, then leaned forward and connected lips with the younger male.

At the first initial contact, Sora didn’t know what to do. Though when Riku’s fingers threaded slowly into his hair, Sora’s eyes closed and he slowly opened up to the kiss. Riku’s kisses were soft, growing a bit deeper each time their lips connected. A desperate feeling and emotion started to fill both Riku and Sora as the brunet slowly wrapped his arms around the silver haired teen.

Riku welcomed the new vigor Sora had, using his tongue to trace the seams of Sora’s lips. At the touch, those pink lips parted, a sigh escaping him as Riku delved in. A swirl of unfamiliar emotions started to well in Sora, build upon his chest, and he felt like his head would explode. The kiss Riku gave him made him almost lose his breath and Sora had to keep bringing his being down to earth again.

A million and one things ran through Riku’s head, but one initial thought blared bright and vibrant in his mind; he was kissing Sora. They both had songs in their hearts and they were for each other. He didn’t care how cliché that was, nor did he care how romantically sweet it was, all he knew was that he had what he wanted and he had the ending everyone in the world craved.

Sora whispered something incoherent, but rolled his head back as Riku kissed down his neck. His lips kissed, his teeth bit, and his tongue licked. Sora shivered as a chill ran up his spine, teasing him like how Riku's mouth was doing.

The older male sucked delicately at Sora’s tan skin, surprising the brunet every now and then with a hard suck. Sora sighed, a soft moan escaping his lips at the new sensation. Riku smiled and pulled away, looking at Sora’s half lidded eyes. “Too much?” he asked.

“…no.” Sora said shyly, looking away. Riku chuckled.

He then slowly backed Sora up towards the piano, the younger male’s backside hitting the keys and a whole new song that they both created filled both of their ears. Both Sora and Riku looked at each other in surprise. While still entangled in one another, Riku hit another key and a song that melded both their Tune of Heart played. “Hear that?” Riku whispered against Sora’s moist lips, clicking away at several more keys.

“Yeah…” Sora murmured.

Riku smiled, “It’s our song.”
