Sakura rushed up to Sai, who was sitting under the cherry trees, in all their glory, with their bursting blossoms.

“Sai!”

“Yes Ugly?” Sai said, staring off into the distance.

“I think I might be able to teach you how to smile. A real smile.”

“Ugly, this smile is re-” He was cut off when Sakura kissed him. He instinctively wrapped his arms around her.

Seconds later Sakura pulled her lips away from his.

“Smile for me.” She whispered.

Sai smiled, a real smile and Sakura swore.

“What? It didn’t work?”

Sakura shook her head. “No it did.” Then, in a lower voice, she growled, “I just won’t get to do that again…”

Sai pulled her face to his and their lips met again.

Sai was finally feeling emotions.
