Epilogue

37 BBY – Lwhekk – Edges of the Unknown Regions

Lwhekk; a humid, jungle covered planet located on the very edge of the galaxy, furthest from the core. A seemingly unforgotten planet, home to several strange species unnoticed by the Republic.

A large silver-grey pod like ship, sleek and vast, descended slowly towards the planet. Creatures scurried away, as the large ship landed, crushing trees and any small animals unfortunate enough to get in its way.

The ramp of the ship descended, a bright light shining from within the ship. The silhouettes of tall, thin beings slowly came into focus.

A tall, frail looking humanoid, with grey skin, black, beady eyes, and robed in black velvet stepped onto the jungle floor. Behind it, several stocky, muscular creatures, with red, cat like eyes, wisps of jet black hair and tanned, scarred skin followed, each clutching a large black blaster like weapon.

Glancing around, the tall humanoid smirked. They had finally achieved the impossible; inter-galactic travel.

22 BBY – Lwhekk – Edges of the Unknown Regions

Jedi Knight Serifa Altunen and her padawan Eryl Besa crept as silently as possible through the tropical jungles of Lwhekk. Earlier that week, the council had informed Serifa of sightings made by the native Ssi-ruu of an unknown, possibly extra-galactic civilisation currently colonizing the planet.

‘Master...is it possible for beings to travel to other galaxies?’ asked Eryl, struggling to keep up with her master.

‘That is what we’re here to find out padawan,’ replied Serifa, glancing around her. The two Jedi came to a small clearing, and stopped abruptly.

‘My lord, the natives of this planet do not appear happy of our plans to colonize,’ started an Ohan’Zee warrior. He waddled along, his blood red eyes gazing up at the tall, thin being gliding alongside him.

‘Then make them comply, we can learn much from this planet...this galaxy,’ hissed the grey humanoid.

The tan being bowed, and stumbled back off into the jungle.

‘Who are you?’ asked Serifa, walking out from the jungle. Eryl hesitated, then followed. The grey being turned it’s gracefully head, and studied the two intruders.

‘That is none of your concern,’ hissed the unusual creature.

‘Where are you from, we have never seen your kind in this galaxy before,’ continued Serifa, glancing at the shadows now emerging from the thick jungle.

The tall humanoid smirked, and turned away from the two Jedi.

‘Answer me!’ called Serifa.

Blaster fire rang through the clearing. The two Jedi flipped and twisted, deflecting the fire. The tan warrior’s continued towards the Jedi, the blaster shots unable to penetrate their thick hides.

Eryl raced towards the tall being, her saber raised. The grey humanoid turned, whipping out a long staff. He swung for Eryl, narrowly missing her. Eryl flipped towards the humanoid, and brought her blade down upon the being.

‘Eryl NO!’ cried Serifa.

The blade pierced the chest of the tall humanoid, killing him instantly. The tan warriors roared in fury, and descended upon the Jedi, firing relentlessly. Eryl was first to fall, quickly succumbing to the heavy fire. Serifa cried out as she felt her padawans death. She watched, as three more tall humanoids glided into the clearing. The blaster fire ceased, and the grey beings surrounded Serifa, long pointed staffs aimed directly at her chest.

‘You will pay for this...your whole kind will pay’.

The staffs pierced Serifa in unison, killing her instantly.

The tall humanoids glided away.

‘Destroy the base, we are returning to Itzal,’ ordered one of the humanoids. The tan warriors bowed, and rushed from the clearing.

‘They will pay for the death of Lord Kaa...the creatures with the swords of light will pay’.

13 BBY – Itzal – Ohan’Zee Galaxy

High Lord Karkan, leader of the Ohan’Zee raced swiftly through the high palace halls. Not moments ago, and strange phenomenon had occurred. A man, barely a shadow, had arrived, robed in black and disfigured beyond human recognition, claiming he knew of their planned invasion, and knew of a way to destroy the Jedi. Karkan smirked to himself, as he sensed the hatred and pure power emanating from the room he was heading to...perhaps this shadow would be of use after all.

5 ABY – Lwhekk – Edges of the Unknown Regions

Thousands of pod like ships glided gracefully towards the newly colonized jungle planet of Lwhekk. The Ssi-ruu were all but extinct. Under the command of the shadow they called Senka, nothing could stop them. The time for revenge of the Ohan’Zee had now begun.

5 ABY – Coruscant – Jedi Temple Padawan Apartments

Eighteen year old Ben Skywalker, padawan to the great Master Anakin Skywalker, and only the second Jedi in the history of the order to have a midi-chlorian count greater than that of Jedi Grand Master Yoda, shot upright in his bed, a fine sheen of cold sweat covering his body.

He ran his hand through his spiky blonde hair, and groaned. Dreams were a common thing for him; he seemed to have inherited it from his father. But this one was different...ominous and sending a cold wave of fear crashing through him.

Something had happened, something that would change the galaxy forever...and young Ben had a feeling it wasn’t a change for the better.
