Apples

In the beginning
there was a tree.
Snow-white innocence tasted the apple,
and like poison, you
Knew.

Then, there was discord:
the golden fruition of
enlightenment.
The goddess bled the apple,
and from entropy, you
Decayed.

Now, there is hope:
death claims those who know,
and ignorance is innocence.
Kira reclaims the apple,
and as God, I
Reign.

A/N: I wrote this at about two in the morning after another waking from another bout of my stupid recurring nightmares (my life is stressful) when I was in a really weird mood. It's chock full of allusions, and it pretty much embodies the opposite of everything I believe. I'm actually kind of freaked by how much I had to get into Light's head to write this. Review please!
