Similarities

Sakura

Sakura is in most ways just like Tsunade. She is bad tempered, in love with a genius who will never acknowledge her, and has a devoted friend that loves her even if she refuses to see it. Unlike her teacher, she will never drown her sorrows in sake in gambling. She will refuse to acknowledge the friend in any way other than a friend.

Disturbingly, she dies the same way her master does, killed by former allies.

Sasuke

Sasuke is only in two aspects to Orochimaru. He left the village for power, and he betrayed his team in doing so. Unlike Orochimaru, he will be utterly humiliated in view of every single person in Konoha as he is beaten into an unrecognizable pulp by the person who he deemed the least threat to him.

Just before Naruto puts a Fuuton: Rasengan through Sasuke’s face, he lets him in on a secret: Naruto will never forgive him for betraying them.

Naruto

Naruto shares a wide variety of traits with Jiraiya. They both summon toads. They both were orphans and ignored by everyone until they forced their way to the top through sheer grit and determination. Unlike Jiraiya, Naruto does find love, though not in the place he expected. Unlike Jiraiya, Naruto doesn’t waste his life and actually completes his dream of becoming Hokage.

And unlike Jiraiya, Naruto actually does die of old age, rather than at the hands of a former pupil.
