Chapter 4: Rena's Decision and Guy's Step 2
Rena walked the halls alone after school. She was looking for Robin, and yet had no idea of what had happened during the day. They had barely just gotten out of class, and she was walking towards the gym, the last class Robin had during the day. She thought to herself about the days events. Guy seemed quite nice, and very sweet. She saw the look in his eyes when he looked at her. Something about her just turned something on in them. It was strange to be looked at like that. She never really had somebody who liked her like Robin had been liked. But when she looked it to Guy's eyes, she saw something.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard soft piano music. The music snapped in her head, it was Defying Gravity from her favorite musical, Wicked. She couldn't help but to find herself singing along gently. She followed the soft music to the theater room, where her cousin, Much, was playing the piano, and another girl was in there listening to him play. Much stopped when she walked into the room and looked at his cousin oddly.
"That was beautiful," Rena said. Much smiled. "How long have you been playing for Much?" She questioned. Her cousin was great at playing, she hadn't heard anybody play Defying Gravity that well on the piano since she had actually seen the play.
"For years now," Much replied. "I'm not that good though-" Rena cut him off.
"Yes you are. That was brilliant, Much," she complimented. He smiled again, and she smiled back. "Have you per chance seen Robin around? I haven't seen him since this morning?" Much nodded.
"Yeah, he said to tell you that he needed to speak to you about something, but I have no idea where he wondered off to," Much replied. He wasn't sure if he should be the one to tell the news of early that day to Rena, or have Robin tell her himself. It was hard to keep the secret it. "Rena, this is Lynn, my girlfriend," he introduced, so that he kept his mouth shut from what had happened earlier that day. "Lynn, this is my cousin, Robin's twin sister, Rena." Lynn nodded Rena's hand before moving her long blonde hair out of her face, showing her blue eyes.
"Hi," Rena stated, not knowing what else to say. "Hey, Much, could you play Defying Gravity again?" She questioned. Much nodded.
"Sure, if you'll both sing," Much stated. Rena nodded, and so did Lynn. Much started to play again, with Lynn singing Glinda's lines, Rena singing Elphaba's. The three of them were seeming to have a swell time.
Robin walked past the door, hearing Rena's voice singing. He stopped in the doorway, listening, rather impressed. His sister had only gotten better over the years, and Much's girlfriend was rather good herself. Once then finished, Rena smiled and turned her head towards the door, and there was Robin. He walked over to the three of them.
"That was brilliant," He stated. Rena smiled, and walked over to her brother. He muttered something for only her to hear. "I need to speak to you," Rena nodded, and the two started out in the hallway. Robin didn't know how to start the conversation. He knew that Rena seemed to be getting along rather well with most of the girls in the group, and she was pretty happy with where she was. So how was he supposed to tell her he'd been kicked out? "They aren't a good group, the Black Knights. They were threating one of Much's friends, and I stepped in and stopped them. They kicked me out, and that's the way things are going to be in that group," Robin finally forced out. Rena just stopped walking. Was that really what the Black Knights were about?
"Well, then, I'm with you," Rena stated. She wanted to stand side by side with her brother, after every sacrafice Robin had made for her, it was the only thing she wanted. "I want to stand side by side with you. You were always there for me, I want to stand by you," She replied. "But I like the people in that group."
"It's your decision, Rena, I'm leaving that up to you," Robin stated. "But I am warning you, if you pick the Black Knights, be careful. I have a huge doubt about half the things they say now. Just be careful okay, and I won't ever hate you for whatever option you pick," Robin stated before walking off. Rena had made up her mind. She would stay with the Black Knights until she felt uncomfortable around them.
Guy was planning out the steps to part two of his plan, but Rena's half wit brother may have created doubts about him in her mind. He hoped not. He was really starting to like her. She was beautiful, and he had heard her sing, she was brilliant. She was perfect, and flawless, unlike her older twin brother. And he was happy that she wasn't like Robin, or at least it appeared that way. He finished his plans, and was hoping that she'd start liking him back after the tour of Nottingham.
ooohhh!! So what is Guy up to? And how will it turn out for Rena/Allan being on different sides??
