Sweet, sweet memories
By Ruby Moon III
Fujikawa was in the kitchen cutting up some vegetables for dinner, she decided to turn on the radio suddenly a song she remembered from long ago came on it was an old song a wonderful song full of sweet, sweet memories of youth and love
Someone found a letter you wrote me, on the radio
And they told the world just how you felt
It must have fallen out of a hole in your old brown overcoat
They never said your name
But I knew just who they meant.
Back when she had been married to Inspector Zenigata back before he had gone to chase Lupin the third. Fujikawa was a young woman back then with aspiring hopes and dreams. “All of our dreams must’ve fall out of your old brown over coat when you were chasing Lupin” she thought bitterly chopping an onion forcefully
“Some times I wish you could hear what I feel” she sighed.
I was so surprised and shocked, and I wondered, too
If by chance you heard it for yourself
I never told a soul just how I've been feeling over you
But they said it really loud
They said it on the air
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa oh oh oh
On the radio
Back when she was young it had surprised her that Zenigata had proposed to her she’d never told anyone how she felt about him and accepted right away “ I was so young and naïve I thought the world was such a beautiful place” she recalled as she putt the onions and the meat to fry and she continued listening to the song…
Don't it kinda strike you sad when you hear our song
Things are not the same since we broke up last June
The only thing that I wanna hear is that you love me still
And that you think you'll be comin' home real soon
Whoa, oh, yeah, yeah
And it made me feel proud when I heard you say
You couldn't find the words to say it yourself
And now in my heart I know I can say what I really feel
'Cause they said it really loud
They said it on the air
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Every time she heard this song Fujikawa felt the sting of loneliness, things haven’t been the same since she had left Zenigata she was sick and tired of endless nights waiting for Zenigata to come in through the door and whenever he did come home or the rare occasion when he called it was always to say ‘hello’ or to tell her that he wouldn’t be coming home, each night she dreaded getting a phone call stating that her husband had killed
If you think that love isn't found on the radio
Well tune right in you may find the love you lost
'Cause now I'm sitting here with the man I sent away long ago
It sounded really loud
They said it really loud
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
“pfft, stupid song” thought Fujikawa sourly and turned off the radio, and continued making preparations for dinner putting those bitter memories in the back of her mind ….
Me: weird I know, I just wanted to try my hand at a song fic
I had the idea in my hear stewing for a while just too lazy to actually draw it out really well so this is the product of that
